Are they playing Shakib tofday? I do not think KKR should. KKR if wants to remain in the race, needs to seriously rethink their strategy now. They need their all guns blazing from today's game onward to be in the race. All I want is a SH-KKR final and then Fizz be the MOM.

Shakib has been pretty ORDINARY for quite a while now. Beside that odd 60 score, this IPL has been not that great for him. Lacking in runs/wickets. I can't even figure out why KKR is playing him in the XI

Shakib soon will find no place in the future editions of IPL.

I think he needs a big break from cricket. He has played a lot of T20s at a stretch is just tired. BPL Zimbabwe PSL Asia cup World T20 now IPL. A change in format will help to change the fortunes

There is actually a video. I don't think Shakib will take it too much into account. Of course shibir didn't force it.

Yet another league for Shakib. He needs to play some tests and ODI.

What he need is to work on his batting and bowling. But oh well. Seems like he is happy with where he is now. More looking forward to play CPL instead working a way out of this bad patch.

Got to say, i'm really disappointed.

He already made his commitment long before. Surely he needs a proper reason if he really wishes to bail out.

And what constitutes a good reason? injury?

Not one not two but EVERY AUSTRALIAN player that "bailed" out from IPL is practicing in Australia in full throttle for the upcoming tour. Miracle? No! They are smart! They know when to earn money and when to take a break.

And the likes of Warner, Finch, Zampa, Faulkner have all been playing throughout.

Those other players you previously mentioned had already had niggle and if Mustafiz had a niggle I am sure they would pull off.

And if he were doing well in the IPL? Would that mean he loves cricket more?

What strange logic.

Letrell Spreewell. Most likely you wouldn't know him. So long story short, 2004 he was making 14.6 Million a YEAR. Minnesota wanted to renegotiate his contract so that they can sign other great players to win championships. His answer was,

"I've got my family to feed."

if he really wants, he can find a way to avoid that. Plus, with the current form, i'm not sure how much he can contribute in the field. His cpl team wont miss much unless he suddenly get out of this slump. But then again, he looked more enthusiastic going there with his wife.

Yes, pretty sure Shakib will still have enough money to feed his family and next few generations even if he skips some Twenty20 leagues around the world for few years.

^ You totally missed T_E's point.

Conversation in this thread makes me cringe. Shakib can do whatever he wants. He's been playing cricket for over a decade now. He knows what he's doing. Just take a seat couch potatoes.

Actually in my opinion Soumya has very little problem with his technique; rather Shakib [Shakib Al Hasan who has recently taken advice from Salahuddin to regain his batting rhythm in the IPL] has problems with his technique. It's all about the mental issue regarding Soumya's long bad patch,” said Salahuddin.

27.5 crores is believable, 275 crores? Not so much.

Tanvir is right. His networth IS close to 35 million usd.... Shakib and his wife both of them are very marketable. Despite the t20 leagues he makes bulk of those money from sponsorship... he has some good international sponsors in puma, pepsico, huawei, lenovo..
