Hannan and Rajin are selected captain of the two practice match teams.
Hannan Sharkar has been elected captain of the Board Shobhapoti XI while Rajin is selected captain of the A team.
Three players are there in both teams: Aftab ahmed, Nafis Iqbal,Najimuddin.
Perhaps the middle order man will come from this three.

How can BCB explain ignoring Salim??? If he is not the national wicket Keeper, he deserves to be at least the A team's wicket keeper.

Yes he does,
where exactly is Selim? Is he injured? What is going on?
Basically, the openers are getting an outing each as is Rajin. I'm glad Nafis, Monir and Nazim are getting to play both matches, but where on earth is Mazharul Huq Mridul?
Happy that they included Talha in the A team.

The only captaincy claim we can make from this is
Golla isn't ever gonna captain Bangladesh.
As for Salim, I forgot that he was in the national camp. Perhaps Dav wants to see how the others are, since he is getting to see Salim from up close and also give the young guys some big time match experience before the u-19 world cup.
I'm happy the openers are getting a game each though. They need to have some match practice.

Exclusion of Sumit and Salim is very disappointing. They deserve to play at least one match each.
I disagree the way BCB excluded those two.
The good thing is, we will see some youngsters in action.
Hope to see some action soon, weather permitting.

Ok while we are hovering around Salim. Can any one tell me who is the replacement wicketkeeper? I thought it was Salim as standing behind Pilot. Hannan cannot always be there when there is a situation. besides Salim is there another one who can fill Pilot's shoe?

Salim is still the 1st choice replacement for Pilot I think, especially since he is in the 20 member squad that is training together right now. The other keeper is Anwar, who has played an ODI for BD against the West Indies last November.

Hannan and Rajin captaining sides containing more senior 'boro bhais' players. Hint on the think-tank's thought process?

I agree with this completely
Like Mushfique, Fahim is our 3rd best spinner until now after Enamul Haque Moni - who is too old now, Mohammad Rafique - who is making the name for himself currently, and Fahim is the 3rd.
Accuracy is one of the most important things besides quality - especially in the International level, and Fahim is the perfect choice for the 2nd specialist spinner in the current Bangladesh team after Rafique.
And besides, when there is a hat-trick man Kapali in the first eleven, then why do we need another leg spinner in Mosaddek Hossain Rubel?
==============================
Ignored, unwanted
Sports Reporter
Fahim Muntasir was overlooked for both the practice matches when the selectors named the squads of BCB President's Eleven and Bangladesh A team yesterday.
The off-spinner must have felt devastated on being left in the cold after all the hard ward work he had done after being picked in the selection trials for Australia in June.
Fahim missed out on the trip to Australia when it was felt conditions would suit his bowling. The Pakistan series could have been more ideal but the selectors preferred a spinner all-rounder instead. There was a lot encouragement for him ahead of the England series since the home wickets have always suited spinners.
Out of international cricket for more than a year, Fahim has so far played three Tests against Pakistan and Sri Lanka claiming five wickets and scoring 52 runs.
Maybe the selectors had other ideas for the English challenge, but there is no reason for throwing a player away without giving him a chance to prove himself in the practice matches.
Is there any point for any player to be made to train for five months only to find out he is ineligible for even a warm- up match?
This will certainly have a damaging effect on young players looking for a break into international cricket. Besides, this is absolutely unacceptable behaviour on the part of the Faruque Ahmed-led selection panel.
Although it was heartbreak for Fahim, there was good news for opening batsman Moniruzzaman and leg-spinner Mosaddek Hossain who got the nod in the practice selections.
National opener Hannan Sarker will lead the BCB President's Eleven in the first three-day match against England at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on October 12.
Rajin Saleh, the find of the Pakistan tour, will captain the Bangladesh A team in the second practice match starting on October 16.
SQUADS
BCB PRESIDENT'S ELEVEN: Hannan Sarker (captain), Nafees Iqbal, Aftab Ahmed, Moniru-zzaman, Nazimuddin, Mushfiqur Rahman, Nadif Chowdhury, Anwar Hossain, Enamul Haque junior, Anwar Hossain Monir, Gazi Alamgir, Abul Bashar and Ashiqur Rahman.
BANGLADESH A: Rajin Saleh (captain), Javed Omar, Nafees Iqbal, Nazimuddin, Aftab Ahmed, Gazi Sagir Hossain, Ashiqur Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain, Arafat Sunny, Tareq Aziz Khan, Ziaur Rahman, Talha Jubair and Alamgir Kabir.

I don't quite understand the Mushfique comparison.

The BD A team that was announced is not really an A team
which is to say, its not the second best XI. Its more of a mix of national players, some A team players and some youths. If we leave all the national players out of the A team (Golla and Rajin), our second best team would in reality look something like this:
Nafis Iqbal
Moniruzzaman
Mohammed Ashraful
Nazimuddin
Mazharul Huq
Sanwar Hussain
Mohammed Salim
Fahim Muntasir
Talha Jubair
Tarek Aziz
Alamgir Kabir
