Default Should we try out Anamul in place of Nazim vs SL?

With team spirit so high and new young guns doing well Could anamul be given a chance now?..hoping all this confidence gets rub off to him and he can be that 2nd opener partnering tamim from now on

or Should Nazim be given the full series to play?

BC what do you think?

I think this is a very very important match, we are to win this to qualify and I think we need soma aggression up front

I dont think anamul will find it tough to face huge crowd pressure and malinga. It would be more ideal if he is played in the Pak series, which I hope will happen in UAE

I won't push him yet. Plus, Nazim deserve at least one more chance to prove himself. But, if selectors thinking of dropping Nazim, then i would pick Kayes ahead of Anamul.

I'm a big fan of Anamul but i don't wanna pick him depending on my emotion

I'm not a big fan of Nazimuddin and would question his ODI inclusion.
He looks much better when he checks his shot, plays along the ground and tries not to be too adventurous. Its almost like he needs to be forced to play defensive cuz he is too attacking for his own good as his shot selection is not always the best ones. He is more suited for test.

But now that he is in the team, I think he should get at least the whole tournament to prove himself. Best of luck to him for the next game.

I dont think imrul will do well because Tamim is playing the anchor role, i dont see kaedge being the aggressor and not to mention he isnt that a good slogger against spin.

trying anamul out wont be bad but its a big gamble which i dont think will pay off too early. If we qualify for the finals and nazim doesnt perform in the SL match then i think a new batsman maybe added

Anamul is better than Nazim . Nazim has a very poor batting technique and he always stands still and throws his bat at the ball without moving his feet. I dont think Nazim will be a permanent odi opener for us .

Nazim should get the whole series once he's been picked. Also the next match is a big game for us. I don't want a rookie to open. If anyone could get dropped it would be Riyad, but even that would be unfair.

There is a huge difference between Jahurul and Anamul. Jahurul has been playing domestic cricket since 2003, look at Anamul's List A record and you will see what I'm talking about.

Nazim gets my vote. Because the chances are he will get dropped for the next ODI series, so give him a full series to see if he can make something out of it. Anamul on the other hand has plenty of time, just warming the bench will be a learning experience for him. I say keep him on the bench.

Experimenting with opening combination is a bad idea at this stage. Nazim played okay first game... Got out trying to break the shackles against India... He deserves the full series. If he gets out playing a reckless shot again then we can look for different option

NAzim deserves full series, if he is dropped Kaedge should be in, Anamul is still new, Kaedge is a far better option,he is experienced & scored many in DPL.

I would NOT mess with the combination we have, except Shahadat, and the problem with Shafiul's injury. Shafiul is a whole lot better that Shahadat. Shahadat is a loose cannon.

should have added except injury. I will still keep Shahadat.

I am not going to give Raju his first debut against Srilanka.

I prefer player change according to situation. Hated when 2007 wc, bd played nafees and bashar all matches, though both failed to make double figure and confident was very low.

Default Replace Nazimuddin with Anamul (against Sri Lanka)

The Nazimuddin I saw against India match, the kid Anamul will be a much better option against the Sri Lanka match as he is not well known to the Lankans. Anamul's fielding will be a plus point for the tigers as well. Also, being a kid, the Lankans might get complacent against him while bowing!

I hope team management take a smart decision to keep our hope for the Asia Cup 2012 final.

Nazimuddin is an asset himself - just had couple of bad matches. I think he will fire in the next one.

Yes, for Test.

But for ODI? Look at his average! He looked clueless against India.
I am not saying he should be out of the team - just want to replace him against Sri Lanka. We need a better start for our openers to gear up our middle orders...

Default Second Opener?

Who is the ideal opening partner for Tamim in odi and why? Imrul, Nazimuddin or someone else? Ideally Nazimuddin should be given some time to show what he has got so I would stick with him for now.

i agree with roni_uk .....

any way if we want to test anamaul then we can experiment him in place of mahmudullah in no 7.

thats the way new players get a chance in BD.

Average of 9 runs as an opener?

The way Nazimuddin got out, doesn't seems a smart opener to me.
Even Imrul is a much better option in ODIs IMHO
