Depending on how riyad is playing and how much longer he wants to play for, I’d say give him the captaincy when mash retires.

I really don't understand why shakib was selected as the captain. Being the best player in the team doesnt mean that you're a good captain (i.e Virat Kohli). Honestly should have gone to tamim or riad. More calm minded.

Great and unexpected decision by Shakib to bring in Riyad.

Elect him to the hall of fame already. He is too good. The man is a legend.

After getting Mahmadullah for a cheap 11 runs with his slow medium pace....
Keemo Paul broke down in tears “I have wanted to face him since I started playing cricket”

'Slow medium pace'?

That military medium...and only reserved to the likes of Sarkar, Kohli, and probably CdG.

He is a spinner and at times put in that slow medium ball to deceive the batsman.

Riyad defo seems better spinner in t20s than Mehedy. Mehedy has really little if any control over the ball for this format.

Miraz is an accurate bowler but he doesn't know how to deal with batsmen when they go after him , he needs to do something extra, what works in test matches and ODIs won't work for him here. He probably expects same line and length and speed will work here, he needs some variations

From what I have been seeing he isnt an accurate bowler and like i said has poor control of the ball. In this series he kept bowling lines not according to the field. Mushfiqur had to keep telling him to bowl to the field in alot of the games. Also he has this bad habit of bowling down leg and short. Mehedy relies quite alot of the pitch to assist him or batsman who makes silly mistakes., which is why he does well on BD pitches on the 3rd day onwards.

A general observation, Sabbir bowled 7 overs last match while Mahmudullah bowled 5 yet got a wicket (of Williamson no less).

With Shakib out of the side he should be getting the ball more often, it seems Mashrafe is trying hard to sell the idea that Sabbir is the all rounder in the team

They (either Mash/selectors/Mgmt ; I don't know who) are trying very hard to justify Sabbir's inclusion.

Play him at #3 - if he fails THEN
Play him at lower order - if he fails THEN
Use him as a leggie

we are bending over backwards trying to accommodate him.

Finally, we should stop calling Sabbir a "young player". He is 27. For comparison, Tamim is 29.

I always thought mushfique was the worst captain in the history of Bangladesh cricket. I am confident that Mahmudullah would surpass mushfique if given the chance.

This is based on his captaincy in BPL.

Yea who cares about the fact that Riyad has led his team into the playoffs every year before this one.
