Andrew Strauss\' brain
What a complete idiot.
With an Ashes series on the horizon England are supposed to be trying to intimidate the Aussies, instead Mr Strauss has got a regular column in the Sunday Telegraph where he picks an Australian player each week and write an essay about how good he is.
This week, he wrote about Gilchist. He said "Its demoralising when Gilchrist comes to the wicket". OK, it is, but, the idiot shouldn't be saying that.
What the hell is Strauss playing at, making all the Aussie players comfortable. When England go to Australia the only columns on our players are about their weaknesses, and how Australia will get them out.
I am an unhappy bunny

Maybe he is writting good things about them so that they might take easy on him when he comes to bat.
Sorry I couldn't think of anything else.

More like they will sledge him.
Gilchrist : Hi Andy, nice to meet you, you might want to wipe the drool from under your chin.

LOL..... it is ture. what a stupid thing to do. Instead he should be like "Warne is no threat... I've faced him in county cricket before and it makes me wonder how he got over 500 wickets."

May be it is reverse psychology. Slamming the Aussies in the press might fire them up.

this is not like boxing where you defame your opponent...
maybe he is trying to start a new trend in cricket where a player will praise his opponent not slap him in da face....

BD players do it all the time. That's why they lose. They only recently got a little "aggro" into their game, and are reaping the rewards.
Moral of the story: don't go overboard praising your opposition, especially as hostile as the Aussies (or the English in BD's case).

I think he wants to gain the favour of Australian cricketers. And give them a shock during the game.
