I think Shewag is right. BD is an ordinary TEST TEAM. He is actually praising us. If it were the English...they would say we suck as a test team, which is lower in evaluation than ordinary.
BD can prove Shewag wrong by bowling India out under 500 and taking the test into the 4rth day.
If its a 5 day game, than BD is surely a CAPABLE TEST team then. What will Shewag say then? Wait, Dhoni will come back by then.

Does this put a bit of added pressure on India? I think it does. They will have to beat us comprehensively, by an innings off course, in both tests. Any draw will be looked as a defeat and if by any chance ( there is always a chance in sports ) if we can do the unimaginable, Sehwag will be remembered forever in both countries. He basically guranteed a victory for his team. BTW, why were Sachin, Dravid, VVS flown in to face an ordinary side? The ODI squad was good enough. Wasn't it? I think journalists missed that.

What Sehwag said was related to cricket and was a relevant question to a legitimate cricketing question. What you are saying has nothing to do with cricket. You are just being bitter because you can't find anything else to say. You are not only making yourself look bad, but you are also reaffirming what Sehwag said.

Regardless of the merit of Sehwag's comments I must say he is not being very smart. It will fire up the Bangladeshis and put pressure on the Indians. Nothing like a little 'righteous' anger before a 'battle'! Thank you Mr. Sehwag. It is much appreciated.

Atleast third of your national cricket team is FAT and that is not related to cricket ! you are just so blinded by your cricket team that u don't realize how unfit they look!

Reply in the ground..... No point getting angry at him, unless the anger is backed by performance.

i too agree with beamer (as usual): i'm glad sehwag said it...altho its a provacative (if true) statement.
its up to our bowlers to go out there and make sure sehwag keeps his average against us to under 20, and our batsmen to make sure we give bhajji and "the best new ball pair in the world" a hammering they won't forget for months.
we can do it!

Agreed 100%. We cant claim we are great, until we beat a full strength test team.
But it is all Ashoka'r fault.
Now my only hope is, we wont end up with some other modon umpires in this test.

Shewag does not know to hold anything back. That's the way he is. The way he bats and the way he speaks.
He is not a diplomat but a batsman of true class who has recently been compared with all time greats like Viv Richards.
He is just one super batsman, liked a lot by Ian Chappell.
End of the day, the performance in the test match will matter for BD (and India) not what Sehwag or Sakib said.

well, i think its retards who go into cricket in India. remember srinath's "best new ball pair" comments? and kumble's "not enough time to rest after world cup semis"? and ishant's "who's sakib all hasan?"
sehwag, kumble, srinath, and ishant are some of the legends of indian cricket. i'd shudder to think what guys like robin uthappa, partiv patel, or rohit sharma would say if they were "miked up".

I don't think ishant is close to a legend....
Anyways, what he said is kind of true. Our bowling does struggle to take wickets sometimes, and they usually go into containment mode, which you can't do in tests.
The best reaction is to shut up, and play well. Show them on the field what the team is capable of.

so he shouldn't be sent to talk. If you can't count you shouldn't be accounted. he is a looser.

We will see if Bangladeshi players have any pride. I am really waiting to see how they reply back in the field. That's how everyone thinks about us anyways. The only difference is he was being an asss and not diplomatic at all.
