"Look Sehwag! The ordinary team took three wickets!" says Shumit. Bharat adds: "Round one of the Sehwag-Shakib mind games goes to Shakib. Sehwag should keep his mouth shut and let the bat talk. Three wickets for less than 100 runs is pretty good for an 'ordinary' attack!"
Ateeq from India: "It wasn't in good spirit from Sehwag to call Bangladesh an ordinary side. It's cricket, anything can happen. At least give some respect to your opponents."
Alexander: "@Shumit, if Bangladesh wins this test match, I will apply for Bangladesh citizenship and throw away my Indian passport"

Viru should be eating his own words now. Thank you Mr Viru for your encouraging comments.

How are you Mr. Viru? True color of a no. 1 team is exposed already. May be we won't be able to win this one. But it shows how pathetic below-ordinary team you are against an ordinary team.

Posting pattern changed in ICF. Yesterday 100% of the posters were saying Viru is right. Now a good portion of them realized that they are not.

Hey dsr,
As with sree_oz after he tipped Australia to win the Sydney test after a horror day 1, I'll happily give you $10,000 ICF if India win.
If Bang win or it's a draw, you owe me $10k.
Deal?

I think you are quite right. Bangladesh still currently has an ordinary bowling line up and against the current Indian line up it will be tough for them. I think you are also spot on with Sehwag's comments, however Ricky Ponting does the same and he doesnt make to many friends when he plays with other teams.
But Sehwags comments has put in more spirit in for the Bangladeshi bowlers.

I heard Mohammed Rafique needs a worker for his new shoe-polish store next to Mirpur stadium..English speaking preferred, so maybe Mr. Alexander can apply.
Also, Tamim needs a darowan, to keep out Apamoni officials...

I dont see what all the fuss is about. Sehwag talks just like he bats. Boom, Boom. I dont think he meant any malice. Teams like Australia and England will just say that Bangladesh as a team "SUCKS"
I would say that between Pakistan and India, India has more support for BD cricket than Pakistan.

Sriram Veera wrote an interesting article in Cricinfo today. Where he said that India played badly and Bangladesh took the advantage. Well, I cannot disagree with him fully. India played below par cricket today, it's true. But let's ask- who made them play below par cricket? It's the tigers who enforced the Indians to play badly.
As Sriram Veera said on his article- the bowling wasn't extraordinary- it's also true. Just imagine we have not bowled well and still India struggled! What if we bowl very well? India will struggle a lot!
Hoping for a good test match in Chittagang. Tigers, please roar once more!

easy bhias man, he's an indian fan but that doesn't mean that shewags words are exactly the same as his words. All he is trying to do is defend his team link any other fan would do. In our case we are trying to defend bangladesh.

now lets win this one... and the comments will bite Sewag for the rest of his life. We can even make this our slogan. 'Bangladesh - the so called 'ordinary' team'

We will justify his comment against after the test. Now it is too early, the game can swing in both ways.
Today is a wrong day for Sebu, at least, with bat he underestimated this 'ordinary team' today and paid the ultimate price.

Haha
i found this quote of tendulkar really funny
Quote:
After a few minutes of gentle questions about the day's play, the first salvo was fired. What do you have to say about Sehwag's statement about Bangladesh having an "ordinary" bowling attack? Tendulkar's face muscles tightened as he peered out at the questioner and said, "He [Sehwag] said it. You have to go and ask him. I won't be answering questions of that kind." Silence, murmurs and more gentle questions followed.

Yeah you're right. There's too many threads, it's difficult to keep up. I think too many fans are getting carried away with today's performance and becoming a 'sehwag'. We should put all the posts that poke fun into one thread.

One thing I like about Tendulkar is that even with all his acheivements and accolades he isn't arrogant and respects his opponents.

Indian Cricinfo..
Look at the title of the Cricinfo today..
"Bangladesh all over ordinary India"
As if Bangladesh cannot be all over India unless the Indians are Ordinary.. A subtle hint.. but this is what cricinfo always do.. they have all these Indian writers.. they cannot do a proper journalistic job.. they should change the name of cricinfo to indiancricinfo..
