WI series Test grades
Mushfiq: B
Batted satisfactorily as a whole, could have been more consistent. Should bat at #3 unless he wants to keep seeing batting collapses. Captaincy gets a C-, the highest possible till he changes his strategy of merely playing for a draw. Wicket keeping receives an F, as he missed just about every chance he got.
Mominul: B-
Expected a bit more from him, especially in the clutch, but he hasn't really done his reputation much harm. A shining success compared to the majority of his mates.
Tamim: B-
Could be faulted for throwing it away in the final innings and starting yet another rot, and he should be, but also faught his way into some semblance of form the hard way. Still, underachieving, but not as much as he was before.
Robiul: C
Not enough wickets to justify a better grade. Only seamer who threatened.
Taijul: C
Showed promise but will he be any different than the others before him?
Riyad: C-
Did enough to keep on keeping on. Failed when it really mattered. Bowling was not too shabby.
Shafiul: C-
Same as Riyad...has some promise with the bat.
Hom: C-
Saved by being a rookie. I'm not a fan, but we really need help right now.
Rubel: D
Nothing to say
Shamsur: D
Really need more than a couple of sixes at this level.
Imrul: D-
Basically same as Shamsur
Anamul: D-
Disappointed.
Nasir: F
Really should have done better.
Al Amin grade pending

Mushfiq cannot bat at 3 until he gives up his gloves. Test wicket keepers bat lower down the order plainly due the the physically demanding nature of wicket keeping. With our bowling it is also a certainty that the opposition will make us field for two days. Simply too much for Mushy to come back out and bat so quickly.
Mushy, Taijul, Ryad and Mominul get pass marks. Tamim wasted wonderful starts and he could have been instrumental in securing a draw for us if he had got to a century after scoring fifty.

I generally agree however I feel you are being far too generous to Tamim as I would give him a C- at most. Yes he has come into some form but he seems to have this feeling of accomplishment from scoring 50s as an opener in the longer format of the game and is truly reflected in his career so far.
At 160-2, the game was entering a critical conjunction with a slight glimmer of safety in sight and then he plays the most selfish shot ever to get out which resulted in exposing the new batsmen to the reversing swinging ball and rest just folded. He has learned nothing at all and would probably continue to feel smug about his efforts propped up by his chacha singing his praises even louder now.
I would rather have a set of batsmen who are not as technically able and talented but have match situation awareness.

for someone horribly out of form tamim did alright, you do expect more from him though. mushy did ok as well, first match anyway. anamul was horrible, shamsur had flashes in certain innings but not enough.
considering mominul was in the thoughts for dropping because they thought he couldn't play pace i think he did pretty well, roach is a quality test fast bowler and gabriel was bowling right up to 150kph. wasn't as good as his other series' but still ok.
nasir, didn't contribute at all in this series.
riyad, did his usual save himself innings at the usual time where it doesn't even matter but it will now keep him in the team for awhile i suspect.
bowlers, all were pretty average, taijul's effort in the first match saves him a bit.

Ryad will retire with 300 international caps and 18 fifties to his name.

For me Safiul should get c+ because of his fighting sprirt in batting. He bowled better than Rubel for sure. Further more Anamul should get a big F , this is a no brainer.
Otherwise I think it's all good.

F that is my grade.
F for board.
F for the selectors.
F for team managements.
F for the batsmen.
F for the bowlers.
F for the fielders.
F for the fans who still think we are heading to the right direction.
F for captaincy!
Solution: Fine them from their salaries (Board members, selectors, managements, coaches) and match fees.

That's my grade too.
Pakistan decided to fine players who will not maintain a level of fitness. We should follow that and fine that bolod who will not value his wicket.
Fine Kopa Tamim Nasir Mushy Riyad for playing ridiculous shots

Al-Amin get an incomplete?
they have ChanderPaul, we have Al-Amin.
Their Chanderpaul was unbeaten in this two TEST series, and our Al-Amin was out only once in this two TEST series batting 4 innings.
He is the only hope we have in our fragile batting order. And he gets a "incomplete" grade?
