Tamim's a lot easier on the eyes but it has got to be Shakib for now because of his consistency and character. That being said, I feel Tamim will overcome his fitness issues, yes that includes divorcing Messrs. Benson and Hedges, and become what he can be as the most talented batsman we've produced to date.

Shakib has the match winning impact and always bats when we are under pressure
Tamim is like the trailer of a Michael Bay movie... looks worth a million dollars for a short period

Tamim is far more capable of a batsmen than his stats really shows.(in all formats of the game) Proof: replay his Asia cup innings It is a shame that he is not as great of a batsmen as Alistaire Cook. he should be averaging 40+ in all formats based on his batting ability.

to be fair to TI I really hope he finds better partners as Sakib .
Sakib has this adwantage of batting with positive ppayers like Nasa,Ryad or even Mushy.
Tamim batting with Mofiz..Nazza or JS is not helping him.
its like when you are in a class of mediocre students averaging 5 out of 10 and so you are happy to get a five or six but when you find yourself in a class of students getting seven out of ten u would try to get an eight.
Thats why for quite some time he has been scoring fifties but no hundreds.

Tamim is far more talented. Shakib is all about application and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Did not vote. Going strictly by their averages, Shakib is better in ODI, but Tamim is better in tests. However, if Tamim would only cut down on the silly shots (but still playing aggressively), he would average 45+ in ODI and 50+ in tests.

tbh there is no point comparing the two seeing as one is just so inconsistent the other is the total opposite

My vote goes to Tamim, because he is a better batsmen than Sakib in terms of talent and technique however when it comes to temperament I think both are equal. One thing to remember here is that Both have different roles to play when they come to bat and they also bat at different positions. Tamim comes to bat when the ball is new and swinging both ways plus when the best bowler is on where as Sakib comes onto bat when the ball becomes a bit soft and not swinging much and also Sakib has to play a longer innings knowing that we are already 3 or 4 wickets down.

When was the last time Tamim set up a game for us or started off a chase really well? Can't seem to recall. Yet, he seems to be drawing less flak than Reza, Razzak and Nasir.
I hope being bowled for a Golden Duck by aHK bowler hurt Tamim's ego

Both are underachiever with the bat and Shakib has been better than Tamim across all formats for quite a while now. Only in 2010, Tamim was our best test batsman by a mile.

Interestingly, I might say TI is #2 in all three formats for now but Anamul is starting to get his feet together (pun intended).

I love Shakib don't get me wrong, but it is more often than not that once he gets going Bangladesh wins. We depend heavily on him to give us a good start. Would wait a few more years to see who is the greatest!

Mominul too young to be in test I think. Mushfiq can do Test. Shakib should do both ODI and T20.
