Default come on guys.. no one knows

I don't care if it's some cracking software...

I am sure there are plenty of methods!

by the way, so far found AIM recover 2.2 which do not work on >AOL 4

something like that for new aim would be nice..

I also found that buddy lists are usually stored in userinfo.bag but I think it reflects the current buddies (deleted some buddies and checked). So you can't really find the deleted data I suppose..

Anyways, again it will be highly appreciated if someone can find an easy way to restore it... and write it as if u are commanding some pc illiterate of windows 2000.

Aim Recover has been discontinued. Try Chat Recover.

Sorry guyz i dont know the solution to the prob, i think you should try to go to the options section of your messenger, there you should find the list of your buddy contacts, where there would be a name where probably one of your buddy may have been sacrificed as in shifted into the IGNORE column, then simply move them back to the buddy group.

you may have to do that manually to restore the group back to its original form.
I say this because the same prob happened to me on my MSN messenger so I am using the similar method to see if it works. Let me know if it works.
