BCB should lobby hard to tour all these nations at least once in the 8 year cycle. we should ask for a one-off Test at Eden Gardens if we can't get a 2 match series. BCB is not a beggar board like PCB or SLC, so we can even offer to pay our own expenses.

I'm just glad we got a chance to get a batsman and a bowler up on the Lords honours board for eternity...

Why don't we invite Ireland over to play a 3 match ODI series, and possibly a tri nation with Zimbabwe involved? I mean, we can boost our game tally by inviting the best associates. It would also show support to the associates and help them grow.

So they're finally trying to do something about not being invited by India and Australia. Good.

Next year's Asia Cup rescheduled

Quote:
The 2012 Asia Cup has been rescheduled to avoid conflicting with the ODI tri-series in Australia that also includes Sri Lanka and India, the Asian Cricket Council has said. The tournament was originally supposed to be played from March 1 to March 11, but with the tri-series ending on March 8, the tournament will now be played from March 12 to March 22. The venue, Dhaka, remains unchanged.

The 2012 Asia Cup will be the 11th edition of a tournament that has had something of a rocky existence, being played at irregular intervals and tacked on as an afterthought to the already jam-packed schedules of the big four teams of Asian cricket - India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. India are the defending champions, having beaten Sri Lanka in the final of the 2010 edition in Dambulla.

Your welcome...

I can't help but wondering, but the stats department needs some back to life magic.

If this is true then its a very good news. Its always a good experience to play outside of home. However, this means we gotta be playing out of our skins against them and prove ourselves or else the critics will have even more fuel.

Could not find anything in the print media. I will wait until the news is confirmed by either BCB or BCCI before commenting.
