the original author of this thread needs to realize how important Javed Omor is...

1. Bangladesh versus New Zealand: world cup april 2nd, 1st partnership 55 runs

2. Bangladesh versus South Africa: world cup april 7th, 1st partnership 42 runs

3. Bangladesh versus India 1st ODI, he scored 80 runs, are you ungrateful for that, if so THEN YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE A BANGLADESHI FAN

currently he has a fifty against India and Sri lanka in the same year. that is not the best of forms but it is a heck of a lot better than most of our current batsmens.

face it, we still needs to support Javed Omor, those who bash him are idiots...

Why is Javed needed? Just look at yesterday's match and you'll find the answer. It's a fact that if the openers fall early the middle order collapses more often than a Bangla Cinema'r Nayika.Even Ash doesn't like the new ball.I agree Javed is a pain to watch and doesn't know how to run, but he does stay in the wickets and it's a fact.If you don't like watching him, then don't .But with explosive batsmen like Tamim and Ash and Aftab there to make up for it who cares if he's slow.At the end of the day ,Javed Omar's only a risk if he stays after the first 15 overs, SN is a risk during his first 30 balls.
I seriously don't wanna see scores under 150.And I don't care who plays. And talking about the future, how do we know by the time JO retires, someone much better than SN won't come to the Bangladesh team.

By the way, I am not saying Nafees isn't talented, just that we need JO.Play nefees in the middle order if you have to,just put someone reliable as an opener.Isn't the reason why SN has so many fans is that he was so consistent to start with?Lucky we don't have the Afridi of old playing for Bangladesh ,or he'd be in the team even after scoring in single digits for a whole year.

he is not a pain to watch bro and he never was, nobody is there to support him and prevent early collapse except very recently during and after the world cup. you saw how Javed scored 80 against India, he SLOGGED DURING THE END, best of luck to him so he can put on a fine show for us and the rest of the team.

Nafees is probably out of the ODI team for good if doesn't perform well in the next few matches, best of luck to him.

JO is the there to prevent a toporder collapse, by putting a wall at one end.
If our toporder guys had the ability to bat sensibly according to situation, he was not needed.

i can't believe ppl still like golla. my brothers, we need to win matches now. we should not be happy with a 180/200 like "lengra ghora".when golla starts the innings the way he defends balls,it looks all the bowlers are wasim akram. than at the end he scores 12 in 50 balls.such a slow run rate put preasure on the other batsmans, push them to score in every balls and he makes the team believe that the bowling is awesome and scary.we want to win matches now.dont need any 160-200.Atleast nafiz doesnt eat up 50 balls for 12 runs.which atleast give chance to other batsman to play. and on our day we can score some 250's and beat team like austrlia.please take any one but not GOLLA. at last i want to say golla in the team, can only give respectable lose but can give a respectable Win.

Well..if you are talking about ODI team..then hes in it because selectors cannot trust SN..and whenever a chance is given JO comes and "actually" proves his worth.. atleast staying in there..but id still want to see a new opener in the team incase one of TI or SN doesnt perform.

JOB gets the job done.
he is a survivor.
he is a battler.

he battles within himself, with the bat and takes it to the ball.
he is only 29!
so much cricket left in him.

he should stay in the team as long as he wants to.
