Alok Kapali gets out every time because he senses Fan's frustration, He tries to hit out and then gets out, In test matches he should be relieved of this and play to his comfort zone and hog the crease. This is why he should only be in the Test team and nowhere near the ODI/T20 team. If you notice recently in Domestic matches he did good in First Class matches, the longer format of the game.

...Still not a single

I'm sorry there is better AR than ALok for this format atm imho. Nasir, Riyad and Nayeem all are better than ALok so i see no future for ALok unless all 3 gets injured at the same time.

I was thinking Alok can take the place of Roquibul Hasan(unless Ashraful scores another century and then get s a recall for Tests...)

you want to replace one proven failure with another? isn't there any other player in the whole country who deserve a chance instead of ROk but Alok? if yes, then i think its time to stop playing cricket altogether

yes I agree, ALok is just another proven failure, he looks extremely confused when he bats, doesn't know whether to block or hit.

Tamim Iqbal
Imrul Kayes
Shahriar Nafees
Musfiqur Rahim
Shakib al Hasan
MD Riyad
Nasir Hossain
Shafiul Islam
Rubel Hossain
Nazmul Hossain

Goddamnit, that's 10 players. I have to pick one from Alok, Naeem, and Reza, Razzak. Where the eff am I suppose to fit them? We always pick the most weird combination of squad!

I can't pick Naeem, Riyad, Alok, and Nasir in the same squad. So that leaves me with Reza and Razzak. I hate Razzak. Reza can't do jack. So I am stuck with Razzak. FFS!

Ideal structure of a WORLD CLASS ODI XI:

Lefty/Righty Opening (bonus if one of them is a keeper): Tamim/? (Jahirul)
Balanced RHB, ability to play in all gear, preferably the best batsman in the team (Can we not find another Habibul Basahr?)
Glue-guy (RHB or LHB), dude that suppose to hold both side of the line up together. - Rahim
Specialist bat, free to bat anywhere. Position shouldn't bother him.
Balanced ALR - DEFINITION = Shakib
Aggressive ALR, powerplay specialist. not a blind slogger - Nasir
Specialist Spin - Can support with the bat (Can we not find another Rafique!?)
Pace - Can slog (Fit Mashrafe)
Seam - Nazmul
Furious -

We are so hell-bent over playing these mediocre ALRs ever since Shakib was born, now we don't have one single specialist batsman in the middle order! Every time a early wicket falls, we should see a confident batsman walking in, not a hengla-petla walking wicket. This is not club cricket, where everyone gets to bat and bowl.

Stop bringing in ALL EFFING ROUNDERS!

Did Tamim not get rested from the Domestic FC matches as well? He couldn't bat for 20 minutes? His endurance is low.

I realize that Nafees seems to be more comfortable against slower bowlers, so we can either try him out in the middle order, or say to hell with it and make him open with Tamim. Imrul won't last long in international cricket unless he a) improves his technique significantly or b) develops divine hand-eye coordination and reflexes. We are an opener short, so that might be an option.

As for the middle order, I want to see Mushfiq bat higher in ODIs. He has the technique and the ability to rotate the strike and keep the scoreboard ticking, which make him the ideal builder/stabilizer. He can hit once he has his eyes in too, so the more time he spends in the middle the more we benefit from it (as opposed to a Raqibul or an Imrul or even a Naeem in high-scoring ODIs).

If Mushy comes in at #4 and Shak at #5, we're left with #3 and #6 to fill as far as the real batting line-up is concerned. I hate seeing Nasir being wasted down the order like so many of his predecessors (Mushfiq included). He has the goods to be a fast-scoring #6. He could also potentially bat at #3 - I personally want to see someone who can score fast without slogging like a crazy bleepetty bleeper at this position. ODI's are high scoring these days and if we're going to win more games, the batsmen will have to show up and score as many runs as possible. I know a lot of people want #3 to glue his puny buttocks to the wicket, but we need to get things moving and someone who can score fast without letting out brain farts every other delivery will help us reach 300 more often. No JO or Rock type grafters.

Depending on where Nasir bats, we now have an opening at either #3 or #6. Not sure what to do here. Maybe Riyad can fill in, but he needs to improve his game massively, or sit out. Then of course, we have #7 to worry about and we'll have to wait and see if Reza is any good. Ideally, this spot will be taken by a medium fast bowling all rounder.

#8 should be occupied by a specialist spinner, so either Razzak or Sunny. Ideally, this guy will also be able to hit some massive blows with the bat when needed. The last three spots can be occupied by fast bowlers, which seem to be extremely hard to come by (well, good ones at least). Nazmul should play at home and so should Rubel. Shafiul is probably the only other option right now, but he needs to man up and stop straying it.

What could he have done? Score 10, 20, 30? Even 40? That's still doesn't do any good. And he'd also have to field. If he sat out during first inn, then he will have had to bat at 11...
