I think Abul needs game time. He hasn't bowled in seaming conditions of England so i'm curious to know how he goes.

Mominul, Nasir in the A team? Lets chuck in Shakib and Tamim then...

what about nasir in the A team as captain .......

if we feel nasir is our future captain then we may check how he performs as a captain in the A team.

though i dont think by any chance Nasir deserves a drop to A team.

i would rather make nasir the captain of the T20 team, and see what is his captaincy skills

My Squad: Bangladesh A Team:

1) Shamsur Rahman
2) Anamul Haque
3) Mominul Haque
4) Nasir Hossain (C)
5) Naeem Islam
6) Shabbir Rahman
7) Abul Hasan
8) Taskin Ahmed
9) Sajidul Islam
10) Enamul Haque Jnr
11) Mosharaf Hossain

National Players playing in A team does mean they are bad/good. It depends on many things like Match Practice, Experience etc

ECB normally include National players in A Teams that are new such as Kisewtter, Patel, Bopara etc

Lot of people opting for bijoy to open when he prefers 3 position, his natural position.

4) Mominul
5) Marshall
6) Sabbir
7) Nurul
8) Abul
9) Robiul

This would be my team. I'd go with a 4 man pace attack considering the conditions.

Shane’s new assignment is A team

Bangladesh cricket team’s head coach Shane Jurgensen will take charge of the Bangladesh A team for their upcoming England tour.
Jurgensen, who left Dhaka last night for Australia, will supervise the camp from June 9 after returning from home on June 7. The second string Bangladesh side will fly out for England on August 2 to play eight limited-over matches.

A team tours are very vital. This is the testing ground for players before entering international area or re entering the team. Team selection should consider need of national team. I hope Shane should consider the things.
1. National team needs top order so, Anamul, S N, Shamsur, Jahurul, Naeem,Mominul should be considered.
2. We need a middle order finisher at O D I. I will consider Sabbir and Marshal.
3. Need some pacer.
4. Need a pacer allrounder
5. No need to test any O D I spinner now.
So my team will be:
1. Anamul
2. Jahurul/Shamsur
3. S N
4. Mominul
5. Naeem *
6. Marshal Ayub/Shabbir
7. Nurul Shohan +
8. Alauddin Babu/Zia
9. Abul
10. Al Amin/Sajidul
11. Taskin

Anamul Bijoy should be the captain of A team(likely to be our natd captain in 5-10 yrs time if he can live upto all the expectation). I dont see any other candidate unless Nasir playes(unlikely as he will have an operation soon).

but I know Kfc khan and co. will go with SN/Ashraful/S.Shuvo(munshi)

The players who failed in the international area due to suspect techniques should not be in the A team. That means no SN or Ash.

Suja vai SN is a different case to me. SN likes to play at #3. His main format is ODI. Out of Junaid, Imrul and SN;SN has better reflex and his ODI record is also good. To me he is a good candidate for #3 in ODI as we have lack of options. If you don't agree with me then suggest few names who can fill #3 position in ODI rather than make shift#3.

I agree with you. That means we should scrap this tour.

I am in favour of having 2-3 guys like SN in the team. This is because A-team is not only for youngsters, but also those who are in an out of the side. I hope the likes of imrul and nafees regain confidence from this tour, if selected.
