Good game I guess, as I just saw in the highlights.

The top order needs to play cool and the death bowling needs a little more wit. Just a matter of fine tuning. We can be the champions.

Cos no one else is good enough.

Anyways the boy can play shots, but is really stupid when it comes to the short ball.

Mash was the culprit today! Had he not given 14 runs in the 17th over, we would have win the game comportably. He was bowling crap!

Against the Aussies his opening spell was quite good too, the ball was moving sharply but that drop catch from Tamim let all his hard work go vain. I agree being an experienced campaigner like he is, he should work on his death bowling, but even after all these he's still the best that we've got.
i agreed

right now we don't have any other good opener. shouldn't experiment with Shuvo, he will waste half to a dozen ball and will do nothing for us, which will eventually put pressure on middle order.

I'm happy with the performance but I feel Junaed's underperforming is a big concern for the team.. I think he has been given enough chances to prove his skills.. Selectors will decide what to do with him..

Anyways good fight for tigers. Well done and good luck on 6th of June

I honestly believe that Bangladesh would have won this match if the bowling was better, fielding seem to have improved, Ash should use a spinner for the last over, and certainly not Mash.

I am glad that BD did not cave in to both Australia and SL, very spirited effort on their part to play good cricket. They have gained good experience by playing two very good teams. Scotland gave England a hard time also, and poor Ireland was hammered by the Windians.
The boys have finished all their practice matches, so I guess that they will be having net practice now.

and there was a over throw went for 4 as well.

btw, why aren't we trying to get back Javed Omar for ODIs & Tests. Tamim, the aggressive one and Javed, the defensive one. and they did good last time they batted together. at least far far better than Zunaidda

you'd have to be bonkers to leave riyad out of the t20 team atm, he's been doing a really good job lately.

There wasn't any overthrough in that over. The overthrough that went for 4 was in the 2nd over (Rubel's first over). I watched the match live!

Quote:
17.1 Mashrafe Mortaza to Silva, 1 run, drops it a bit short, he plays a short-arm pull down to deep square-leg

17.2 Mashrafe Mortaza to Mubarak, FOUR, he pitches it up on middle and leg and Mubarak clips it away effortlessly over square leg

17.3 Mashrafe Mortaza to Mubarak, FOUR, comes round the wicket but it doesn't help as he bowls a full toss, Mubarak clubs him across the line and finds the midwicket boundaery

17.4 Mashrafe Mortaza to Mubarak, OUT, he comes over the wicket and it brings about a change of luck ,Mubarak tries to dab it away to third man but ends up spooning it straight to short third man

J Mubarak c Naeem Islam b Mashrafe Mortaza 16 (14b 3x4 0x6) SR: 114.28

17.5 Mashrafe Mortaza to de Saram, 1 run, short ball, he swivels backwards and upper cuts it to third man

17.6 Mashrafe Mortaza to Silva, FOUR, short ball, he gets on top of the bounce and pulls him over midwicket

Their practice matches against better teams than themselves were O>K>, they could have performed 15% better if their fielding and bowling was better. I f they can improve on their shortcomings, then they have a very good chance, but so many times I have seen BD giving it away.

Though the match is over ... Rock's batting should be a worry to the BD think tank...He is not finding the big shots in the middle of the bat...He is a very good batsman in both Test match and ODI but T20 seems to me not his cup of tea..But he can be a tremendous prospect for Bangladesh in ODI and Test match no doubt.

I was so upset to find another blunder from Narail Express. All the good works done by Mushfiq, Rakibul, Rubel and Sakib has been undone in one penultimate over.
