Clearly we're in a testosterone fuelled Bangali sausage fest. All those points seem moot.

The irony is that she's encouraging and will probably greatly boost the $3000 gene test among a huge number of women. That's a lot of cash to pay out for a gene test for most women. She couldve campaigned for health insurance reform and coverage instead. Not everyone is as lucky as her.

That test is covered by most health insurances in the US. What is to say she did not do this via insurance.

Never liked Megan Fox.

It's very very rare for me to fall for the celebrities worshipped as Beauty Queen.

Reconstructive surgery would be covered by insurance too if its post mastectomy for a medical reason, as far as i know. at least there is some solace of a free boob job.

anyways most women dont need genetic testing, thats not the standard of care.

True unless family history suggests the possibility.

It became a huge news and will probably create more awareness and give courage to many women out there. Jolie has become the gold standard for activism.

That's how celebrities should be. They should use their fame and power to make a positive influence.

And by the nature of idumb's opening post, how serious did you really think this would turn out to be. I mean honestly.

Since we are all going to hell anyway, and the mods haven't killed this thread off yet... how about a choice selection of Sickipedia entries (language warning applies)?

Angelina Jolie's aunt dies of breast cancer

Debbie Martin found out too late about inherited defective gene that prompted actor to have preventive double mastectomy

Angelina Jolie's aunt has died of breast cancer less than two weeks after the actor herself revealed she had a double mastectomy to avoid the disease.

Jolie's aunt Debbie Martin died at age 61 on Sunday in a San Diego area hospital, her husband Ron Martin has told the Associated Press.

Debbie Martin was the younger sister of Jolie's mother Marcheline Bertrand, whose own death from cancer in 2007 inspired the surgery that Jolie described in a 14 May New York Times op-ed.

According to her husband, Debbie Martin had the same defective BRCA1 gene that Jolie does but did not know it until after her 2004 cancer diagnosis.

This is precisely my area of expertise although my current euphimism of choice is "knockers".

I saw her on CNN on the red carpet. She was looking quite elegant. She has a certain level of class about her that many other celebrity women lack completely.

I'm becoming whiter as I age. Although I did like the songs "racks" by YC, lol.
