Match Thread: Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe | Only Test |Aug 4 - 8, 2011| 09:30 local | 07:30 GMT | 13:30 BDT @ Harare, Zimbabwe
__________________________________________
Hello and Welcome. This is exactly what we have been waiting for 14 months and of course Bangladesh Cricket evaluates Test Cricket more than anything. This time The Tigers are hungry for some Bald Eagles and at the same time it seems Bald Eagles are also hungry for some wild cats. In result, while flying high in the sky The Eagles have mistaken Royal Bengal Tigers as little wild cats and coming down to hunt them! what is going to happen next?- Bald Eagles are going to be successful slaying the tigers?
- Both will fail to beat each other and leave the spot?
- Tigers will be alert seeing the shadow of the Eagle and fight for what they have been there?
Meanwhile, to the fans everything seems like visiting the famous wild African Safari Park. Thrilling,Chilling live wild action. Stay with us for more action and reaction!!

It's a good timing actually. I suspect people will be happy to such a nice match thread!

Keep up this great work Emon.
You do a fantastic job.
This practice match debacle makes the real fight more interesting.
No chance for complacency for the boys.
Zim's got a point to prove.
BRING IT ON

Preview of the team of some zimbawean member is their forum...
Quote:
warwolf, We are playing Bangladesh and so discussing Bangladesh (in a game against Zim players no less) is entirely appropriate and welcome as far as I'm concerned. I liked the insight from your interplay with A_BD_Fan; that Razzak is generally not viewed as a Test player. That suits me fine because I've had nightmares of him taking Five-fors all over the place.
As for this match, like the other practice matches, they've been entirely fruitful for Zim. Now Mutizwa has played himself into the test team, and Mawoyo out of it. I still have lingering concerns about Ervine's form but his 42 has saved him I think. With Raza waiting in the wings ready to pounce like Mutizwa has done, I'd be careful if I was him. The middle order finally becomes stronger with Mutizwa and Taibu in (Chakabva has failed to convince) but the opening slot is still up for grabs on a permanent basis if we keep Taylor at 4. Masakadza likes to be at 3, so let's keep him there. Sibanda will open, so no problems there (finally, I remember the uproar just this guy's name used to provoke at ZCF
). Taylor at 1 and Mutizwa at 4 can be a permanent first choice lineup for a long time and I like it. I'm not adverse to Taylor at 4 and some other opener found but not for the Bangladesh test, the time for experiments is over (although since I proposed the "Mutizwa for opener" experiment, I reserve the right to back that theory despite what I've just said
). Taibu didn't have a good time with the bat but his wicketkeeping practice must have done him some good and besides, he and Chigs have the proven ability to get a 100 somewhere. I still don't know whether Meth or Utseya or none will get in but that's a good problem to have

It will be tough tough Test for Bangladesh. I won't be surprised if we end up losing by a big margin.
At the same time there is every possibility that the boys will trounce the Zimbabwe side convincingly.
It all depends on which Bangladesh turns up on 4th August.

Even though we lost the practice match and still am worried about the batting, I don't think we should lose confidence. The boys have now hopefully shaken the rust now and should be putting in a better performance. It should be a good match and I see us winning comfortably in the end. Good luck to Zimbabwe and good luck to our boys.

Hi Guys
Good to be back on the forum and looking forward to our return to test cricket after a six year break.
Our squad has just been announced and looks like Keegen Meth has won the third semers spot and the Tino Maywyo is being given a go at the top of the order. I think the key to the contest will be in the top order.
watch out for Kegeen Meth as this guy swings the ball both ways and will not go for many runs.

Zimbabwe just need to make sure they have 9 players standing at off-stumps..cause, most likely BD batsmen will go for wild off-site fishing or defending the rising ball or go for an awkard double-minded shot and provide catcthing practice session...
