1, 2, 6, 11 & 12
Yes these are the figures that caused the damage..
*6 & 11 runs away from two 100’s... Bashar & Rajin
*1 & 2 runs away from two 50’s... Pilot & Mashree
*12 runs short of first ever 500 runs score by BD in TEST!
All of them would have been very very well deserved..
Probably the highest number of landmark losses for any BD innings so far!
But then again... the highest number of guys plus the TEAM itself nearing Landmarks as well!!
Sweet pain I would say...
Hats off to the great fighters... and lets hope they get their rewards in every next innings!!

Hmm! Crickethorizon is criticizing an apparent success. It is an good approach to enrich something. Toyota company use this method to improve their engine. They take a perfect engine push it to the limit where it finally breaks down. Then they do the failure analysis and improve the Engine further.
Criticizing a success is proved to be as fruitful as criticizing a failure.
From above stat provided by crickethorizon we can tell BD batsman still need to work on their nerve as they failed to reach 100 and 50 when they should have. When Bangladesh play England or Australia the pressure will be on Bangladesh. This will come handy there.Good thinking crickethorizon!
I suggest scuba diving in 50 ft tank.

I think Mashree could've got his 50 if Tapash could give him little more company

Bad luck for Tapash. Actually he bats very well. He is unlucky to miss the party. Pilot played a solid innings like the solid man he is! Hopefully he will get the 50 next time. But I will be most happy to see Ashraful play a good innings in this series. He should get at least a double hundred against this Zimbo attack.

Ash and Aftab both will come back soon. We need Ash to be in form in ODI where runrate is very important.

there may have been some nerves involved in getting to the magical 500 which may have caused the tail to unravel the way they did, losing 3 wickets for 16 runs. But despite the close misses on the individual landmarks, these things happen all the time and the more important thing is they got 4 wickets at the end.

Guy's
He did not throw his wicket away - he got out to a great catch on a decent defensive shot. Ashraful has realized that if he can get his eye in, a century is there for him in every match. When your partner at the other end is going great guns (i.e.), than he was well within his rights to play himself in circumspectly. Dismissals to good fielding happens. I think, and hope Ash is doing the same, that his score of 19 is nothing to lose sleep over. Especially if Zim throws the bat around and comes close to the follow-on target. We'll need Ash to go and blast a quick 50 for us.

Very well put. I could not watch as many of us here but it felt like he was being little to conservative in his approach to the inning. He has many shots in his possession and he is capable to getting into his stroke playing mode after facing 30 - 40 deliveries.
