Default Simulation cricket

I talked to Ehsan, who was Banglacricket's last captain, and he suggested I make a poll to see how much interest there is.

For those of you who weren't involved last time, basically, the Banglacricket captain (Ehsan) selects 11 players, and they are inputed into a simulator, along with 11 from another team, so a simulated cricket match is played.

Many matches have already taken place (probably around 30+), 3 of which Banglacricket has been involved in. http://www.simulationcricket.com/ and click Series Archive, that shows scorecards from the last time Banglacricket played. Since then though, things have got a lot better (ie. now Test matches can be played, weather conditions are a factor etc etc).

So, very simple poll: Would you like to see Banglacricket play more simulation cricket games?

When you play a simulation game, you just allow the computer operator (or team captain) to use your name as a player in his simulation game. You are notihng but a name. You don't play anything. The computer operators (or team captain) actually plays and you enjoy the results. To have real fun, you got to be the captain of the team. Otherwise, you got to learn how to have fun watching somebody else's video game... can you do that?

If you want real active fun, get a cricket simulator yourself.
There are some free cricket simulator available on the web.

Right on the money

At other sites I've conducted this, everyone (not just the captain) has had a great time

At Sitepoint.com there was 8 pages of discussion, supporting, cheering about it :P

Many of the details have not been worked out yet

We hope that all of the "full members" and "affiliate members" (http://www.simulationcricket.com/members.php) + 2 other sites which we expect to get teams together in the next few weeks/months will take part in the "World Cup".

I will post more details in the future, but the World Cup won't be for another few months. That is not to say however, that you can't have a series or two between now and then

Just wanted to add, 1 of the sites which we were expected to get a team together soon is making very good progress. Webhostingtalk.com already has a captain, and is just 1 player short of having a first xi, so if Banglacricket and Webhostingtalk wanted to have a series I imagine it could be arranged quite quickly
