Default What is the problem with Shumon? (2002)

Those who watched all his four innings so far, what seemed to be the achilles hill of our much-celebrated hero? After all these were all placid batting tracks, weren't they?

Default Placid

PLacid ? You call 164/184/161 Placid ? Oh tukku, I forgot that you were talking about our batsmen.

I'd like to know what happened. I didn't except a hundred or even couple of fifties from him this time. I did however expect at least one good knock. Not much considering the bowling strenght of the opponents. You think our players are inexperienced ? Look at the credits of the two 4-wicket heroes in the second innings. Who needs Murali when two newcomers can rip throw your batting line up.

Default Sumon does not play spin well

Sumon does not play spin well.

Besides, as Bulbul likes India's bowling attack, and now as Ashraful seems to like SriLanka's bowling attack, Sumon has not done well against SriLanka in any One Day matches that he played and SriLanka is also not a happy ground for him.

So, it is quite evident that Sumon would not do well - as he proved very harshly.

hey, leave Sumon alone.

Poor guy is not allowed to have a weakness, SL? Or go temporary out of form?

He is only human. He did enough.
