An ideal finisher is one who can get bat and ball and able to milk to bowler runs. But this guy cannot play anything short, a slower ball.
A real finisher is someone like AB De villiers. No, its not his big hitting or innovations, its his ability to get bat on ball that makes him so remarkable. Your big hitting and innovations are worthless when you cant get bat on ball. Another example would be hussey. No slogging or innovation, just proper cricket. Even pollard is an OK finisher because he can get bat on ball

ZIAUR is the worst batsman BD ever produced .... ....
he is someone who made his name by tonking the poor-ruvish stuff of the local mediocore bowlers. and in the international stage he is struggling big time to even defend a normal ball of a decent bowler.
he was on of the main culprits today when he wasted those deliveries

There is no point playing him if he is not going to bowl, and i think he is a decent pacer by BD standards. We were one player short today, dumb selections.

Sure Zia as a batsman completely failure so far.
But I have a question to the t20 team selector and the captain: What was Zia's expected role in this T20? Was selected as a purely batsman? If so, what makes them think that it will work (based on what they have seen from that two tours)? If his role was same as the role he played for ODI, then why he was not even used for a single over? Its not that our other bowlers were bowling so great that he was not needed.
The point is we pick the wrong players to play the wrong roles; and when we pick a new player we tend to throw them to a b ad situagtion by not utilizing their proven strength, but rather exposing their weakness.

Zia looked completely lost in batting in pretty much every match. I think BCB should look for a good batting coach. JS anyone?

His bowling isn't good enough to make up for his complete absence of a batting brain.
Ax him.

Wonder why he played last match since they didn't bowl him and he's got nothing to his batting...

Shabbir should be in the team. Ziaur should be in the team just for his bowling

Zia entered in the team as a batsman who can bowl, then became a bowler who can bat, then again became a batsman, our team management isn't sure whats his role in the team how can the poor guy be sure about what to do, he doesn't have a brain like most Bangladeshis, be a Bangladeshi and understand his pain

yeah don't mind if zia makes it in as a bowler, he's done pretty decent so fair enough if he's there as a bowler but if he's not going to bowl there's no way he should be picked.

If he is in the team as a pace all-rounder, he needs to bat a bit.

Zia in T20 is a gone case. He couldnt hit the ball, doesnt know how to get singles and rotate strike, and is a MASSIVE obstacle when running into his own team mates.

oh that collission .... ....
but yes surely Mushfiq got hugely disappointed to ZIA that day. whatever success zia bought to the team in the final test and first ODI with has bowling, surely mushfiq has forgot all of that after that collission

Bowled really well in the Test series and got us crucial wickets. He will bowl better on Harare type surfaces which has more assistance for the fast bowlers. On flat decks, with his pace, quality batsman will take him apart. We need to select him according to the conditions we face to have the desired result. If he wants to stay in the side he has to prove his worth with the bat.
