His seam was in mid 130s against Zimbabwe which isn't bad at all. It's definitely going to be a threat if he bowls a tight line and length. He also seem to have a good variation of deliveries.

Like others have said, his batting should be weighed more heavily. I personally don't rate Ariful as a better batsman than him, so I would give him a very long run in the team right about now. We need all rounders to replace Shakib.

Miraz has been so awful with the bat for the most part, that such a low benchmark is now a positive for him because he can only do better from here on as he learns the ropes. Saifuddin could be another one of those guys, in that even if he can't maintain his form, he will only do better with more experience.

Because what Miraz and Saifuddin have is the genuine all rounder tag, where they equally want to prove themselves with both the bat and ball, and not one over other. Whether they live up to the tag is another question that remains to be answered.

Brilliant performance from Saifuddin! bowling with an injured finger and defending the runs in the last over vs one of the World's best Hitters in Andre Russell. Took four wickets as well.

He and fizz bowling the end overs for BD will be lethal

Saifuddin is almost at par with other new pacers out there if not better.

What distinguishes him from the rest from them is his lower order slogging. I think he does better when he bowls with the newer ball though.

I would actually have him over Miraz in NZ and England. He is the better allrounder for the English condition.

It should not be either Miraz or Saifuddin. Both are new promising players and both shown improvement over (short period of) time and both deserve to be in the team (for now).

He kept his cool at the death.

I seen him clock one delivery at 138 kph. He can bowl quicker if he sorts his technique out.

I am not so sure, Miller's big hits against him are still fresh, also if u look at Ind success in NZ it was mainly because of their spinners, so Miraz could be useful.
Tbh I am skeptical about him, Miraz has proven to be a smart thinking player.

Stuart Broad got hit for 6 sixes once upon a time , he still plays for England.

There was a statistic shown that in powerplays Saifuddin generates the most average degrees of swing in the whole BPL. This guy is a must in NZ and England. He can bat as well.

He's not quick arm bowler so he'll get quicker in couple of years with added strength

Team management needs to look at incorporating both him and Rubel in the lineup for England , he batted well today and we need his all rounder capabilities. He can also move the ball more than the average BD pacer

How can we have Shakib, Miraj and Saif in the team together without loosing Rubel, Mostafiz and Mash? Is it possible, please?

If Hardik Pandya can play at 7 for India then having Saifuddin and Miraz at 7 and 8 is definitely a possible option. Or you rather have Sir Sabbir at 7?

I think if the condition suits the pacers, Miraz should get the chop.

The amount of confidence Miraz is showing as a batsman would make little sense to drop him. Because, in Bangladesh, apart from very few, there is not much difference between a specialist batsman and an allrounder who can bat.

I just don't see a place for him in the eleven if everyone stays fit. He should be in the squad as a backup, but his inclusion in the eleven shouldn't be guaranteed in English condition. Having Shakib and Riyad in the team makes him redundant as a spinner all rounder. He is not even the biggest hitter of the ball, so he wouldn't be of much use as a late order hitter either.

Initially I wanted Rubel instead of Saif, but now that he scored some crucial runs I guess he deserves next 2.

Normally teams play with 4 bowlers and at least 1 all-rounder. We are having 3 bowlers (Mashrafe, Rubel and Mustafizur) and 3 all-rounders (Shakib, Miraj and Saif) with Mahmudullah offering a further option.

I am a big fan of Saifuddin. Want to see him do well every match to keep his name hot in the minds of everyone. And if he can start winning us matches, well then, that is a done deal.

if he doesn’t pick any wickets next game, I will start to get worried

All this talk about him swinging it both ways... being effective in these conditions yet... most costly in the first ODI.

this guy is a bowling all rounder as he should be.

Swing it!!!!!

Saifuddin's bowling seemed average on the first ODI but would like to observe him for couple more matches. In Bangladeshi context would much rather prefer a bowling all rounder than a batsman who can bowl a bit. When Shakib comes back, we will have enough depth in batting, but bowling is going to be weak as Mashrafe retires..

Roey banned again???? Wow. Anyway, if Saifuddin can't do well with the ball in a favorable condition, we should be worried.

Apart from Fizz everyone was wicketless today , last match every seamer in the team was without a wicket not just Saifuddin. The whole team is underperforming

What's the point of having 2 all-rounders at 7 & 8 whose S/R is around 70 unless you're looking for "somman-jonok porajoy"?

Unless you're a match winner or least showed potentials of becoming one, I don't see any positive out of it in the biggest cricket tournament.

Mashrafee is no longer a AR. He should bat at #10.

Run Rate of our AR is less of an issue, we have other serious issues in this series. all the top order more or less failed (except of Mithun). That is the main problem. In top of it we have Riyad who is neither helping us with batting nor with his bowling. Senior players like Tamim and Musfiq is complete failure. So is talented young players Liton and SS.

Mithun, Sabbir, Saifuddin and Miraz positive batting) was a pleasant surprise.
