Doesnt seem like there are much love for Mohameddans in this forum. But didnt know that the relationship is almost like a Mac v.s PC either..

Nevertheless, personally, I wish there was a way to watch some of the key matches from oversease. I still think this year it will be an exciting year for the board and cricketers with many things at stake, many international series to watch and many players vying for the World Cup. All good for us predicting and non-predicting cricket loving fans!!

Based on: a) Aftab's comment, "I forgot everything of the past year.."
b) Aftab's recent picture
c) Aftab's cricket related (in)activities for alst one year

2. Prediction: "Motin will score one century early and will be virtually a non factor"
Based on: a) Motin's track record for last 5 years

3. Prediction: "actually in a way a major draggiung factor for the team for the rest of the season"
Based on: a)Motin's track record i.e average and his frequency of good innings and bad innings.

4. Prediction: "Mohamodon's nightmare of "Motin-Aftab" debacle will continue"
Based on: It happened once, and nothing basically changed. So it can happen again.

5. Prediction: "Only Tamim will give some return back"
Based on: Tamim's track record.

8. Prediction: "Motin-er Chor vs. Tamim-er Ghushi"
Based on: Both has shown their prefereable method to resolve conflict. One used thappor to a fan, other punched a player while disputing.

9. Prediction:" There will be no fight with Aftab as he will run for his life and will lose 2 pounds out of 20 pounds that he gained this year."
Based on: a) based on Aftab's lazy and play it safe (non cricket related) type reputation
b) Recent picture and his comment about his inactivity.

Therefore my friends "Ja rotey ta kichu hooleo ghotey"
After going through this mind boggling piece of analysis, I am convinced, the bird in question is not "tia", but the kind of avian feathered creature that is normally caught dead after a jhor.

You got your facts wrong. Helium gives you high pitched voice; "laughing gas" nitrous oxide however is known to produce laughter.

Gazi Tank confirmed following team -

Shahriar Nafees, Mithun Ali (WK), Nazimuddin, Alok Kapali, Naeem Islam, Farhad Hossain, Farhad Reza, Suhrawardi Shuvo, Abdur Razzak, Ziaur Rahman, Nazmul Hossain, Raihan Anas, Kamrul Islam, Nadimuddin Mintu (WK), Mohammad Yunus, Sajjadul Haque, Mizanur Rahman, Wahiduzzaman.

Their full strength team may have attacking batsmen up to #10. They also have plenty of bowling options to consider. I don't see any team better balanced for this edition of DPL.

GT is definitely my dark horse. A lot of players with a chip on their shoulders and something to prove. We have to see how mentally tough they are. On paper, it is a good team.

So we're finally going back to the days when players from first string top 8 international sides used to play in the DPL. Good signs, very good signs indeed.

Looks like Gazi Golam Arshia has a facination for the Razzaks.

Looks like next signee will be Nayok Raj Rajjak.

Will Kobori also be recuited as a cheerleader?

On paper, strength-wise team ranking -

1. Mohammedan
2. Gazi Tank
3. Abahani
4. Biman
5. Kalabagan
6. Surjo Tarun

Most likely teams to be relegated-

Khelagar
BKSP

Modon in the top? How that can be?
Even Surjo Tarun leading by evergreen Bashar will handily manage Moga Motin's team.

This team must be in reversed order. That means Modon team will fight for the relegation.

So this is how the title contenders line-up after the player transfers..

Habibul Bashar (c)
Rajin Saleh
Anisur Rahman
Dhiman Ghosh (wk)
Sanjamul Islam
Mahbubul Alam Robin
Tapash Baishya
Monjurul Islam

Title Holders Abahoni seriously looks the weakest on paper- considering how both star players Moyna and Mash are injured. They seriously need to get a foreign top order batsmen if they want to win the league for a 4th successive time. Also, Abahoni's bench is the weakest

Mohammedan looks the strongest on paper with good squad depth in Marshal/Deckans. But the two Modon AA battery puts their title credentials in doubt. If they click however, Mohammedan will sweep the league this year.

Gazi Tank looks like the most balanced team in terms of player availability and bowler depth. The addition of Razzak from Pakistan will seriously boost them. Alok and Nafees will be looking to prove themselves. Plus Naeem and Nazimuddin (Reza for that matter) are proven domestic performers. I actually tip them to win it. Dark Horse this year for sure.

This is how the other national team players line up- Roqibul, Shahadat, Enamul (Kalabagan); Dollar, Rubel (Old DOHS); Rasel (CCS).

Biman, Surjo Torun looks weak this year. Kalabagan looks the strongest amongst the rest. And what happened to Victoria??

Can't wait for the league to start!

** updated with Biman, Surjo Torun teams- thanks to ESHEN

Good analysis pichchi

Lets look at Biman also -

Jahurul Islam
Imran Ahmed
Mushfiqur Rahim (WK)
Mehrab Hossain Jr
Tushar Imran (C)
Sharifullah
Mushfiqur Rahman
Mosharraf Hossain
Elias Sunny
Talha Jubair
Tareq Aziz/Shafiul Islam

They don't have big names, but all of their players are prolific scorers/wicket takers in domestic leagues.
