It is the worst. And I didn't expect anything different.
It's like Ananta Jalil vs Tom Cruise movies .

Last night I was following up on my cricket and had two highlights option. IndvsEng in Willow and BPL in CI.
I watched the test highlights of IndvsEng. Coz I had no interest at all to watch BPL highlights.

Can barely find any positives. Atleast BPL 3 had good crowds. All matches were sold out

Agree things need to be sorted out.
Picture in HD looks OK : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjW-Kz56AGw
Players are OK
Rest needed to be sorted out.

Until they move to home and away, the league is a farce, even without any of the other things you've mentioned.
I haven't even bothered to watch the BPL. Of course I only watch to see upcoming players and since Ebadat is injured, don't give a rat's behind anymore.

Just speaking about the marketing/presentation aspect.
Some of the Franchises are so unimaginative with respect to naming their teams. Rajshahi Kings? Sylhet Superstars?
Khulna Titan's jersey is a shocking copy of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Seriously doesnt Bangladesh have a proper English speaking presenter to interview players? Even the countdown announcer pronounces numbers like a 1990's BTV English newsreader.
Commentators too. Cant they get at least a few decent commentators?
Given BPL is being broadcast around the world, organizing committee must be a bit more attentive towards the packaging of the tournament. Seems like no one quite cares. Just watch how its done in CPL, so much better every aspect-so much to learn, but will we

BPL is as rubbish as the film industry of the country. Appeals to the mass local audience. And to be brutally honest our country as a whole lacks taste and are not innovative.

This is the risk of playing the entire tournament on two grounds. Pitches will wear out, bounce gets uneven.
These low scores will continue

Film industry is on the big change. So let's spare that, for a while. Lots new good films coming out, plus with dual ventures its changing.
BPL will change too. BPL is being made to look like some ultra cheap league by some. What they are missing is, it's main purpose is locals to get some exposure playing with international players, sharing dreasing room with international players etc. This experience itself is good for the growth of a local player, mentally.
BPL WILL get better, once they (the gov body of BPL) gets the home and away system sorted, and does the organisation more professionally, advertising it a month before the league starts, hyping it all corners of BD with good promoting. Things will change.

Does it matter if it rated 1 or 2,or rather that it succeeds.
Borrow from the leagues that work and it will only get better.

what hurts the most is the quality of cricket.
in a T20 lg where teams are struggling to score 120 runs is just pathetic.
As both locals and overseas players struggling u have to blame the pitch.

If this is a "rant threat" than I really want to rant about the terrible DJ's.
I wish there was no music or song or whatever... they keep playing the same tune for every 4's and 6's and wickets... it gets nauseating when watching the highlights.
Most things about BPL feels really cheap to be honest. I always feel that we should always have our own identity when we do things instead of blindly copying another country.
I miss the days of 50 overs DPL in the 90's. The clubs had an identity, it was our league. The foreign recruits also loved the experience. The spectators were not "bhara kora cheerleaders", and cricket was cricket. I used to be glued to the radio if not the TV (only the finals were broadcasted).

Frankly I avoid all leagues. They are all so compact. It's like my posting dosage. Too much spoils it.
