by effectively retiring from one day cricket. And who can blame him? No point for him to carry on playing a form of the game in which he is clearly second best right now!

Tricky tricky...I was also thinking that Lara saw the inings and said a word or two about it..

But, actually he is giving Ashraful two more years to grow up before WC'07 so that there will be no unneccessary comparison to come in between them (which might turn out to be very injurious for Ash). Lara said he sure wants to comeback for that grand finale.
