Jan 31: One-day at Cox's Bazar
Feb 02: One-day at Cox's Bazar
Feb 7-10: Four day match at ZACS
Feb 15-18: Four day match at ZACS

BD U/19 Squad for limited over matches:

Hridoy and Shoriful are not released by their BPL sides. Should not national duty be given more importance than a franchise league?!!! Hridoy is not even playing in BPL after his T20 debut fiasco!

Young Lions announce squad for Bangladesh tour
Quote:
Young Lions squad
Kasey Aldridge, George Balderson, Ben Charlesworth, Jordan Cox, Adam Finch, Lewis Goldsworthy, George Hill, Luke Hollman, Tom Lammonby(Captain for four-day matches), Dominic Leech, Jack Morley, Dan Mousley, Hamidullah Qadri, Will Smeed, Jamie Smith (Captain for limited over matches)

Young Lions Head Coach Jon Lewis said: "As is always the case for any trip to the subcontinent we're expecting an extremely tough trip.

"Bangladesh are a force to reckoned with in their own conditions, as we've seen from when our senior side have travelled there. The subcontinent is always tricky, and we expect it to be incredibly hard.

"However I'm very pleased with this group. We worked very hard before Christmas during our training camp in India and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the players adapt to the conditions and to what they can learn from this trip as they continue their journey."

Our under 19 team has always performed well in bilateral series. They always fail when it counts the most- in Asia cup and world cup.

What a win! Chasing down 333 in the 4th innings is special.

We Banglawashed them in the entire tour!

Well done to the tiger cubs!

as soon as some of these kids becomes famous...that's when it all goes downhill. the hunger dies out and "made it" type mentality and "set for life" while in the grander scheme of things they have achieved nothing. seen this before far too many times.

I agree. I think it's a Bengali thing. We are great up until we become adults then it's really downhill... in every aspect of life..

for example: bangali girls are so beautiful until they get married. then all the fat comes out in a year. from like an angel to bhoot. Behavior is also different as if they achieved what they needed to and don't gonna work hard anymore.

Allhamdullilah great result.

I think BD doesnt have mentoring system conducive to building youngsters. They start getting carried away as they start making cash and take games an opportunity for taking selfies, lacking the professionalism to make their mark.

My hats off to the English Youth team. They were down 0-1 after the 1st Youth test. In the second test, in the second innings, they could have continued to bat yet declared with 223/8. They set the target for BD 4th innings of 333. It takes a lot to declare a competitive total and go for the win. It didn't pan out as they wanted. The local boys over came the challenge.

At any rate, the English boys will learn a lot. At lest to win at all cost (fairly) mentality is being instilled in to them at an early stage. The fear of losing is a barrier and that has been demolished here. Weldone.

BD-Youth team: Congrats. 3-0 in One dayers, 2-0 in long version.

Great result, but not feeling like jumping for joy. Had it been in overseas condition, I would have. We all know these 'little English boys' will develop more as players than our bunch will ever do.
