Default Chinaman Bowling

Have a look at the pictures showing left arm chinaman bowling by Paul Adams. How come he was so accurate in delivering the ball in line with the staumps and in appropriate length. Amazing!!!

Do we have any other chinaman bowler at present?? I would like to see their action in detail like the following one ...

Bowling action of Adams is really weird!! Dave Mohammad and Michael Bevan's bowling action is quite simple compared to Adams.

Do you mean Brad Hogg ??

Yap he bowls Chinaman, but action is quite different compared to Adams.

All a 'Chinaman' is, is a left-arm legspin bowler. Fleetwood-Smith was one, Bevan was one, and thats all of them that I can think of.

Adams is better described as a 'mystery bowler', because no-one else has ever thought of, let alone used, that action.

But it works for him ...

It's really quite rare to see left arm chinamen bowlers these days. When you think about it there are a LOT more orthodox spinners. Hogg and Dave Mohammad are the only two strike bowlers going around then there are some part-timers like Simon Katich but no Rafique's or Vettori's or Giles'...wonder if there's something in that.

It looks like he's stretching, or he's double jointed.. hell, he looks like he's doing anything but bowling a cricket ball!!

Too me it looks like he is chucking with his eyes closed, hoping since he can't see himself chucking no one else will see him either.
