well why not!!! Bangladesh has another year on the hand to get the team organised for the 2011 world cup and make sure they do not have any injuries on their team. I dont know whether i am being realistic but looking at the players who will or should be fitt for the 2011 world cup i would be really happy to say they have got a chance to win. If these players are in the team for the 2011 world cup then i will be supporting them to win the 2011 world cup.
First tell me how you managed to keep most of the words of your first post all CAPITAL? Whenever I try to do that, it turns to small letters.
And why don't you have Riyad anywhere in the team? And Naeem?
....
InshaAllah..Impossible is Nothing. I hope some day in March/April next year, we'll come back to thread and hail our Shamim Miah Bhai for this glorious thread.
lol...looked like the Cricinfo headline before the last few overs of World Cup 2011 final..
Mia bhai all the way...btw why dont u make a thread like Tamim run a ball 150 takes brings bangladesh world cup or like Ashrafool 5 for restrict__________to 120 in final!

But you put three unproven players in line-up. Unless they prove themselves in future matches there is no reason to put them in 1st eleven. We do not have much time to experiment. If oppurtunity comes, should prove themselves right a way.
what's the point, we can't even beat india, defending 296, what's the point of all the effort, we're now not making it to the finals, and yet again the world will see us as a pathetic little team like they always have, and be skeptical to host us or tour us

If you want all in capital, at the end of your post, type a letter in white text.

All these big dreams. BD will be lucky if they proceed to the super eight stage. One year is not enough to prepare for a competition like this, remember, other countries are also preparing well and BD has the worst bowlers in the world.( especially when their bowlers cannot learn to bowl properly,)
Their batting may be improving, but bowling and fielding wins matches and they are horrible in the bowling dept.
They are playing in their own backyard and it will be shameful if they get knocked out of the competition in the early stages, and notproceed to the super eight stage. Also, they are in a very strong group.
I hope Siddons and the BCB are not sitting on their laurels and try to address this problem with a great degree of urgency. They need good bowling and fielding coaches ASAP.

because naeem can be replaced with a much better player like alok kapeli in bowling n also in battling, riyad doesnt fitt into the best 11 for bangladesh

they have proved it before and they should also prove it within one year time inshallah
bangladesh can win the worldcup if the team can build up 11 players who can bat and can change the batting gear at any stage......from opener to last batsman of the team.......dekha gelo 10 run e 4 wicket pore gelo, kintu baki batsman gula milea score 300 e nia gelo.........ei rokom mentality thakte hobe. then surely we can win the world cup

Well, at the moment I can't discard your claim. BUT they're not proven yet in terms of consistency (even against the minnows). Naeem and Riyad have just started to show some consistency (and that also against the top teams). We know how well Kapali and some others can play, but the question is whether they have become able to produce it consistently or not. The ICL journey may just've boosted some of our players' (like Alok, Kapali, Nafees etc) confidence and they may just start to perform better given a chance, BUT they haven't yet. So I wouldn't go for a comparison between Naeem+Riyad with any of them.
