Default Cricket and Corruption (Fixing)

Match fixing or spot fixing (local or international). I want to identify those who are proven fixers 11 test playing nations. Some sort of ban, suspension or fine a player (or an ex-player) got because of their involvement by their board or ICC.

Australia: Mark Waugh, Shane Warne.

Afghanistan:

Bangladesh: Mohammad Ashraful, Nadir Shah, Shariful Haque

England: Mervyn Westfield

India: Mohammad Azharuddin, Ajay Sharma, Ajay Jadeja, Manoj Pravakar, Vankenna Chamundeswaranath, Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, TP Sudhindra, Shalav Srivastava, Mohnish Mishra, Amit Yadav, Abhinav Bali, Amit Singh, Siddharth Trivedi, Ankeet Chavan, Hiken Shah, Ajit Chandila

Ireland:

New Zealand: Chris Cairns, Lou Vincent

Pakistan: Selim Malik, Ataur Rahman, Nadeem Gauri, Anis Siddiqi, Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Amir, Dinesh Kaneria, Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Irfan, Shahzaib Hasan, Nasir Jamshed, Hasan Raza, Naved Arif

South Africa: Hansie Cronje, Hershelle Gibbs, Henry Williams, Gulam Bodi, Thami Tsolekile, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Alviro Peterson, Ethy Mbhalati, Jean Symes, Pumelela Matshikwe

Sri Lanka: Kaushal Lokuarachchi, Jayananda Warnaweera, Tharanga Indika, Tharindu Mendis

West Indies: Marlon Samuels

Zimbabwe: Rajan Nayer, Enock Ikope

With so many mercenaries, WI is exposed to the corruption the most. Yet they have the least. Marlon's ban was giving information to a bookie. That is all.

South Africa scares me. Poverty and lure of riches even in the domestic setup is a prime breeding ground.

I am most worried about the Afghan talents being so young as well. They are just ready to be targeted any day.

BCB need to do background checks of the Indian - Pakistani Cricketers before they put them in the players pool for BPL. Just because most bookies, and fixers are from those countries or origin.

Anyone saw the Al Jazeera report? I highly recommend it. Quite chilling! I wonder, just how many international cricketers are match fixing right now but haven't been caught yet. Since the industry exists, you know it is happening. Spot fixing is more common in the international circuit. But fixing is fixing, and is absolutely unethical.

Great list. Really creates a picture. Only a matter of time before ireland and afg join the rest of the full members.

Can we sticky it as a running total?

There is one Pakistani in here who tries to promote his country’s cricket in here and says he doesn’t contribute much in other threads until one day he puts Bangladesh down with one extensive list like this. He put much effort to put us down. He again proved me right of how his country men can’t be trusted and acts Shadu Shadu!
