Because of these unprofessional gits, we also get unprofessional players who cause drama that you wouldn't see in any other test playing nation except Pakistan. It's really sad but that's what's holding us back so much in not only cricket but also as a country.

Mash is creating all this drama to protect himself. If he does bad in the game, the argument that he should have been in the wc squad will be over and there will be calls to drop him. He is just little scared of doing well against the aussies. Remember he didnt perform well even against the Zim except the last ODI.

If you force a half fit player to play in a game against Australia, you are basically throwing the game away. Well done BCB.

Just some stats...

Since 2007, Bangladesh has played in exactly 100 ODI matches(including the one today)

Mashrafe Mortaza in that same time frame has played

68 matches and taken 73 wickets in those matches.

He is important no doubt for Bangladesh, and when fit, is a real asset...but he has missed close to a third of the matches over the last 3 years, and when he has played, he has been decent, nothing more nothing less.

He is not the savior, now at 30(and with knees that probably belong to a 40 year old), we need to stop living false dreams...if he plays... great, if he contributes even better, but we need to move on.
