Looks like he still wears that worried look on his face. I guess, being in his 70s and having a young wife can keep a old guy worried. So many younger guys out there.

According to the Ershad's Bio from website, He is 73. But everyone knows that in BD the official and the biological age are two different numbers. So I won't be surprised if he actually is 80.

He is not 80 guys, come on! Hard to hide your age when you were in the army. I am surprised that he is still so fit at 73! Quite amazing. I see the man once in a while when I'm in Dhaka. He goes for a walk every morning. Very disciplined about his exercise.

I picked the title from Tarashakar's famous novel "Kobi". That goes for our dear chacha "Ershad". According to his Bio he has published 7 poetry books. I was wondering whether anyone of you ever saw/read his poetry book? What is the quality of his writing?

I have read some of his stuff when I was about 10 years old. I dont remember any of it though.

My grandfather got it as a gift from someone. When I asked him if he read the books, he simply replied that the poetry was awful and never bothered to read them afterwards. (I think another person described them as 'joghonno').

He didn't write those, they were written by some poet from Sylhet or something. His name escapes my mind right now.

Arnab is right, long time ago I read a report on Jaijaidin about Ershad's fake poems where this was mentioned. Don't know the name of original poet though.
