Default What's Pilot doing nowadays?

Our Pilot is busy doing a lot of things these days for the future as he knows that his international career is finished. He has finished Level-1 coaching recently. He's hurt that BCB didn't treat him well by not selecting him for the wc2007. He thought he would retire after the wc but since BCB didn't treat him the way he deserves, he's not thinking of a official retirement.

I feel bad for this guy. Hes the best wicket-keeper we ever have/had. I don't think we have a replacement for him behind the wicket. Mushfique is good in batting but so-so in wicket-keeping.

Here's the aritlce from Prothom Alo about him by Tarek Mahmud.

Please don't make this thread as another Pilot bashing thread. We've had enough bashing threads on him. Thank You!

Mushfiq is a better Keeper and a better batsman and he can contribute for the team Better than Khaled masud pilot, i respect Khaled masud for his contributions , but now its turn for someone to replace him, with a young and much more skilled player which is better for the Bangladesh team.

Behind the stumps he's still the #1 keeper in the country and I'd say #2 in Asia behind Sangakarra.

Well they are also good. but they are mostly good for batting. Look at Dhoni, Dravid, Kamran, their keeping is not so well. They were taken for their batting mostly.

Pilot is not good in batting but excellent in keeping. And BD lost so many mactch he played in because that time we were a worst team. Now we've improved a lot.

Puck, are you a bangladeshi?

It's KMP's turn to pass on those considerable skills from behind the stumps. His coaching career will help Mushy, Dhiman and Pavel among others yet to fill those shoes.

good for him and the country... AT least he agrees about formal learning. I think ash aftab all of them boom boom player r missing this and hence we see them making stupid mistakes over and over again...

If I were Pilot, I would retire from all forms cricket after this domestic season, take up a coaching job with BCB academy, and train upcoming keepers like Dhiman and Saghir so that one of them can kick Mushfiq out of the national team

I dont see Pilot getting back into the team team even unless Mushfique is injures or does not perform at all. Even then the selectors may go for a younger keeper like Dhiman or Sahgir. Good to see him making preparations for retirement!
