Cricinfo reports:
Zimbabwe A tighten their grip
Young spinner Timycen Maruma picked up three crucial wickets to ensure Zimbabwe A maintained their grip on the second day of their four-day match against Bangladesh A at Queens Sports Club. Maruma found some turn on the Queens track to get rid of opener Mehrab Hossain, Alok Kapali and Mahmud Ullah Riyad as Bangladesh A in reply to the home team's 353 closed the second day on 115 for the loss of seven wickets.
The visitors still need 89 runs to avoid the follow-on and it is going to be a difficult task with most of their reliable batsmen back in the pavilion. Earlier on in the day, the home side added 77 to their overnight score to take their first innings to 353 as their tail enders continued to resist. Enamul Haque took all the remaining three wickets to finish with five wickets.

I hope BD A will comeback strongly in the 2nd innings. This will a confidence booster if they can comeback. All the best BD A.

Good to see Mpofu playing again. Why Zimbabwe selectors overlooked him and Douglas Hondo for the WI series is beyond me.

It's sad to see Saqibul getting out to the part-time offbreak of Matsikenyeri in all his 4 completed innings. He made promising starts in all those innings (24,26,34,25) and I guess couldn't resist his slogging instincts and just threw it away.

I don't understand the logic of playing Hasibul Hossain (Shanto). He is quite old by now and also very ineffective.

It will be a tough ask for Bangladesh A to save the match. They are just 13 runs ahead with only 5 wickets remaining.

Default No ball

I've written before about extras in this series. But just checked yesterday's score and found that enamul jr has given 11 No balls!
Was he trying dusra? :-s
So far maruma got 7 wickets in this match and had only 2 no balls.

Sadly it is a very ordinary performance by our second string team.

don't think BD A has any hope remaining. Selectors should should have selected the U-19 pacers in place of Shanto and Tapash.

ZIM A Vs BAN A
ZIM A 353 (122.5 ov) Enam 5 wkt& 90/3 Over -18.4 Shanto 2/34
BAN A 150 (69.5 ov) & 292 Over -96.2 Alok 138,Saqibul 42,Saghir 31
Zim won by 7 wkt(3rd 4-dayer at Bulawayo)

Poor show by Bangladesh A. Congrats to young players of Zim A who have less exposures than most of our players but they really fought hard and pulled off an impressive win.

Well, I'm impressed by the way our boys fought back. They did not give up and tried hard till the end. It is this competativeness and spirit that marks the progression of a team. More so for a struggling Kapali. It is so important for our batsmen to register frequent respectable scores against all kinds of opponents. Enam establised quite a bit of command over the Zims in general.

On the other hand, there might have been a hint of complacency from the team. Not sure though.
