De gustibus non est disputandum
What's your view on moral relativism?
Note cannot cite Christ Gayle issue...

There will be time, when everything we do, say and believe in the name of ethics, civility and humanity will be considered ludicrous, philistine and asinine.

False ..... moral values are constant ... for hundreds years ....
For ex helping the poor never became a ludicrous idea.

Agree, what assurance do you have that the term "poor" would sustain, isn't it just a tag artificially defined by society? As social values get reestablished or abandoned, environmental change, scientific advancement and above all natural selection through evolution altogether might result into something which may/should not something we are able to comprehend at present.
The reason I agree with you is different. You mentioned moral values. OP is asking about moral relativism. The concepts are miles apart.

Sssh. If "they" use brevity, it's wit. If "we" do, it's indecipherable.

We had to discuss this scenario in my legal theory class, back during my undergrad days I believe they also consider this experiment in Harvard's Justice class.
Have you read ' The Case of the Speluncean Explorers'? You may like it!

It's a nice exercise but i am curious to know what is it that you search for all day on the net?
And I think it would be very hard to throw the fat man even if you wanted to.. you have to be very strong. And how you know he is not gonna throw you instead?

It is actually provided by our professor in philosophy. Now now... don't go on smearing it like Hillary did to Bernie Sanders did to Hillary.
For the first time I am having intellectual origami wink wink in school. I think it because of disgusting liberals like you who tarnishes education by promoting youth to tune in drop out and turn out. Whatever the hell that means, leery.
Nowadays education is very "modern" and not a residue of post-industrial world.
On topic, Navo I haven't but I love how they hole out the inconsistencies in almost everyone's thinking.
And as for idumb:
1. Your wife is cheating on you.
2. Will you eat her?
No?
1. Your wife is cheating on you with your best friend.
2. Will you eat her?
still no?
1. Your wife is cheating on you with your best friend who is a kajer bua.
2. Will you eat her (the former)?
Now answer me!

Who is paying for your school ?
This "intellectual origami" will not translate into money or earnings. There are people who need to earn a living. Not everyone has family who will provide them for life.
There are certain portion of people who feels governement should take care of them at all times but there are also a group of people who will not be happy with the piss that govt is capable of providing them...
So for that large segment of ppl who do not have family to provide unlimited funds for life and don't want to live like a rastar fokir need to think ways to maimize their investment in education.... meaning lowest cost in money and years with highest earnings post graduation. Simple as that.
US provides unique opportunities in ways that even with non traditional majors you can land great jobs but you have to have a clear path... Facebook for example will hire with great pay that have background in art, psychology etc but it would be wise to also major in fields that will be useful to them ie Computer science to stand out among many of the useless money and time wasting majors that young ppl are doing.
