পুরোনো ফ্রাঞ্চাইজি তাকে ছেড়ে দেয়ার পর সংশয় সৃষ্টি হয় দল পাওয়া নিয়ে । মাঝে চিটাগাং খেলতে না চাইলেও ফিরে আসার পর সেদলের হয়েই খেলার কথা চলছিল ক্রিকেট পাড়ায়। কিন্তু মুশফিক নিজের দাম হাঁকিয়ে বসেন ১ কোটি ২০ লক্ষ টাকা । যা দিতে রাজি হয়নি চিটাগাং ভাইকিংস। তারা সর্বোচ্চ ৮০ লাখ দিতে চাইলেও তাতে রাজি না হওয়ায় দল বঞ্চিতই থাকেন তিনি।

এ ব্যাপারে ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করেছেন মিনহাজুল আবেদিন নান্নুও। তিনি বলেন আজকের ড্রাফটে মুশফিকের মূল্য সর্বোচ্চ ৬০ লাখ। সেখানে দ্বিগুন দাবি করাটা অযৌক্তিক। তাদের ৮০ লাখের প্রস্তাবে না মানায়ও ক্ষোভ তার।

তাই আজ মাত্র ৬০ লাখে প্লে ড্রাফটে অংশগ্রহণ করতে হচ্ছে তাকে। শুধুমাত্র উচ্চাভিসাষীতার কারনেই।

supply and demand. They have to pay to international standards to rope in good/well known foreign players.

I wonder why Mushfique gets involved with drama in every single BPL. He is the only player that got released and then had hard time finding a team. Talent wise any team would be lucky to have him - so it's a behavioral issue then ? He has to be smarter and try to keep his drama out of limelight. A likeable character can also make money via ads too. There will always be a difference in what you think you are worth versus what the market thinks you are worth... it's simple economics.

There is no behaviour issue with Mushfiq. The team he used to play for ceased to exist and Mustafizur got released from Bulls (who ceased to exist) to icon player this year.

As for "simple economics". I will have you know that in BPL, Bangladeshi players are more in demand than foreigners. That's why they reduced the number of foreign players allowed. It's just that the so called franchises can get away with the nonsense with local players.
