If it is true I have a mix feeling about this, I am fine and I am not so fine.
I am not so fine because that means Mushy is not capable enough to handle these situations alone.
I am fine because this means TI-Sak-Mushy have great understanding and so they are free to diiscuss and plan as a unit, there is no ego problem.
At the end of the day if this helps us win everyone will be happy.

Isam confirmed it on Cricinfo. So its most likely true. But he mentioned Tamim only and nothing about Shakib.
Shakib's captaincy is mediocre from a tactical standpoint so it probably was Tamim.

Mushy got his captaincy scrapped (allegedly) during BPL 3 so this is not new to me. At point he needs to realize that this job is just not for him. Riyad should be the front runner for this job at this point but his form(in tests) is also an issue.

According to tv report of a channel, Mushfiq's captaincy blunders reached Papon. He will talk with Mushfiqur soon before taking any decision.

Wow this is a clear sign for Mushfiq. Finally it seems Hathuru has had enough.

It can't get anymore ridiculous than this. With all due respect to Mushfiq as a player, I don't see how he can be allowed to hold on to captaincy when he can't handle crunch situations.
Not surprised though. In BPL, he handed captaincy to Afridi middle of the league unable to cope with the pressure owners putting on him.

I want Mosaddek to replace Riyad. Mushy should also lose the gloves. Give it to Nurul (better or equal to LKD, better batsman, taller also).
Tamim
Imrul
Momin
Mushfiq
Mosaddek
Shakib
Sabbir
Miraz
Taijul/Shahid
Mustafiz
Taskin
let Tamim or Shakib captain till Mosaddek or Sabbir are ready.

Thank God Mushy is not leading our LOI team anymore. We would have never reached #7 in ranking under him

It seems like Tamim will be the next captain not bad... Guys, remember Tamim post 2015 is a different Tamim pre 2015...so I am eager to see how Tamim handles captaincy in BPL.
One of these three very likely to become test captain soon:
Tamim, Shakib, Riyad...most likely Tamim as I highly doubt BCB/Haturu would try Shakib again.

It is the captaincy cloak that has saved Mushi's neck. If this goes, he will be on the chopping block and forced to perform immediately. He will never willingly relinquish captaincy even for the sake of the team. I hope Papon doesn't force a change. I want to eat my words.
We have accused Habibul Bashar, Ashraful to hold on to captaincy so that they don't get chopped. History repeating itself.

The fire we play with in ODI'S and the panic we play with in Tests is as clear as Sujon's bhurri.
That fire was seen after tea break and we didn't find it from our panicking captain. It was about to be yet another. He didn't grow a brain and a pair within 15 mim. There's no such a thing as "Michael Jordan's Secret Stuff" that he could've a drank.
I'm glad things were "adjusted" - bigly. So freaking happy that Rahim's days are numbered.

I don't think Mushy is a good captain. But we should refrain from slandering a great cricketer. He has worked his heart out for Bangladesh over a long career. so let's not rubbish him like this.

Cricinfo article confirming that Tamim was setting fields after the tea break:
http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/conte...y/1064175.html
This is a clear indication that the coach is not happy with Mushy's captaincy.
The challenge for Hatharu will be how to make the transition before the NZ series. Sacking the captain is like toppling a PM. And can also have a negative vibe in the team if not handled correctly.

Changing a captain is always a hard thing to do...but he should understand the reason as to why he is being stripped.
He should know for himself that some of the decisions he makes are not logical, and the coach has noticed that...
That's why it was addressed and discussed over a cup of tea and scones.

He should be WILLING to give up captaincy. He'd avg 10+ at least if he gives it up. Team first. But be a little selfishly unselfish and give up the captaincy for your runs. That's how I'd* look at it.

Shakib's captaincy isn't that bad, its limited, but ain't mushfiq level bad, and Tamim is also very limited to....combination might not be that bad

The replacement captain should NOT be Tamim. He has come of age, and starting to hold together the top. Let him keep doing that.
It should be the VC of the ODI team. Not sure why Shakib isn't the VC of test team too, but Tamim can stay on as VC and a matured Shakib gets his 2nd shot at it. He's not my ideal captain. But it's better than our current set up and he can handle the burden more than any of the other 10 guys.

This.
Tamim should be focused on his batting without any additional responsibilities.
Apparently Sakib has the most professional approach to the game and being the captain of the Test side he may find additional motivation to improve his batting temperament in the longer format of the game. The coach/management will be more involved with him during the match which is better than just slapping a batting role on him during planning stage of the match.

Need a captain who's not 95% spin-centric. Needs to utilize his fast men with more oommmphh(did i say that right?)

Well, We are still waiting for our "Imran Khan" to come up and save us in the Test format. I don't want to be honest about the skill level of pace bowlers we have when it comes to the longer version of the game. We don't have a strong pace bowling culture. It's highly likely that next couple of years we will be relying on our strength - spin bowling to win matches at home condition and to be competitive in away condition.
I have high hope for our U-19 captain Miraz. If he can sort out his batting within next couple of years then I would like to see him captaining our Test side once he played 20 Test matches.
