Great thread mate. Just one thing though... the emblem you guys see on the Zimbabweans' helmets is not a 'bald eagle', but a sacred Zimbabwe Bird called HUNGWE. In this case you might be wondering if you can then call the Zimbabwe Cricket Team 'The Hungwes'...well, NO. I think it's best if we stick to Zimbabweans or Zimbos. Great thread though! :-)

I am worried about the top order. Tamim will have to walk into a Test match without playing the longer format for a long time. Kayes seems to be continuing his horror run in Test cricket. Junaid or Ashraful look like a walking wicket also while Shakib has been out of form with the bat for a long time. So who do we look at to the score the runs for us? Best bet is Mushfiq, Mahmudullah, Nasir and Nafees.
Bowling will be fine as usual i think

Razzak shouldn't play in tests.
I'm really scared of this test results after the practice match.

my bad.Yesterday I was wondering what's Zimbabwean Cricket's symbol like our tigers.apologizing for that. in this case lets just only for the sake of this match assume that the Eagle the king of the sky is to portray tougher contestant( as you guys have already proved) and as a part of naturally beautiful Zimbabwe. may we?
++++++++
thank you all for the feedback! means a lot.

Interesting. *Makes a mental note.*
And bangla word of the day for you: "tali [taa/li]" which means applause or clap. Good win mate.

Okay first of all, anyone with an iota of brain cell would be able to detect that Zimslog is no Zimbabwean. I mean, no amount of google translate would be able to make you write that much bangla phrases. I don't know if you guys are just playing around or you actually believe that he is a Zimbo.
Second, what the hell just happened in the practice match? I don't care what the pitch was like. If you can't score 200 in an international arena, you deserve to have your butt whipped. And I've had enough of Razzak. The chucker has got to go.
These 'golden boys' better start making some runs else it will be off with their heads.

Dude stop flattering yourself. It crossed our mind. Then again, suppose, for someone to hang around in this forum as an alias, it's not that hard to pick up certain phrases. But you may be right at the end of the day.
Brownie for you tony.

Bossera permission dile ei shujoge ekta thred khule falai: Is ZimSlog Zimbabwean?
My gut says: yes. The Hung cf. was a subtle clue as it is kind of obscure for rest of us BD fans. May be a poll too?

Dude, maybe I'm being too anal about this, but I'll provide some arguments.
Quote:
Ami Zimbabwe cricket team-ke support kori! Zimbabwe Jindabad!!
|
Just one quick look at the phrase tells you that it's almost written by a native bangla speaker. Notice how the hypen is put to place in "team-ke" and "jindabad".
Maybe a quick Ip check would've solved all the questions.

Shafiul and Robiul dominated the bowling for Bangladesh in the first innings and it was no different in the second innings until Bangladesh suffered a setback on the final day. They went into the final day with a bowler short as pace spearhead Shafiul did not take to the field due to a slight muscle problem in his leg.
Team officials, however, ruled out any chance of him missing out on the only Test of the series, beginning on August 4 in Harare.
‘We did not allow him to bowl as a precaution since he had a slight muscle problem. However, it is not that serious and he should be okay to play the Test match against Zimbabwe,’ Shafiqur Rahman Munna, head of Bangladesh team delegation, told New Age over phone from Harare.
