Lol guaranteed to lose if they're dustbowls. Afghan spinners will wreck us.

If they're flat decks, however, we should win. 2-1 either way I reckon.

with rashid and mujeeb on top form the afgans will be overconfident, just like they were in World T20 2014..if we play by our merit we should win this.

if afgans manage to keep their head on the ground they can win this.

either way it'll be 2-1..I don't see a whitewash happening

If we win 2-1, expect the parades and daring vigil of our players.....Oh and lets not forget the PM flag waving and the customary tribute to the freedom fighters.

20 years of cricket and we win 2-1 to Afghanistan Joy Bangla

I'm pretty sure there will be a rip in the space, time continuum if WI ever manage to beat Afghanistan.

I think we are overhyping Rashid and Mujeeb... can they destroy us? Sure they can! But also realize we have Tamim and Shakib, two lefties they are gonna struggle with. Rashid played a couple BPLs and our batsmen know how he bowls. With Riyad, Mushy also in form, its gonna take some serious bowling to get through our lineup. I also think Soumya might perform well against the leggies

Our attack should be,

Tamim
Soumya
Mushy
Shakib
Riyad
Ariful
Shabbir
Nazmul
Rubel
Abu Jayed
Fizz

Extras: Miraz, Liton, Rony

We will whitewash them now, and then we will get trashed by them badly at the CWC 2019. Calling it now.

I think both rashid and mujeeb have proved themselves enough in t20s to be worried, they’ve both done terrifically in the IPL, rashid moreso obviously at this point.

Going to come down to fizz and batting I think. I think rashid/mujeeb is similar to shakib/fizz although fizz is the least consistent of these 4 so he’s more likely to have a bad day I’d anyone is.

Afghanistan’s batting is weaker more often.

Will be interesting as Nabi and naib are also quite decent allrounders, Afghanistan potentially have a better t20 bowling attack than BD but like I said batting is a big weakness for Afghanistan and they collapse more often than they have a good day.

Consider the series a failure if its not a clean sweep.

Haa Bolun apanara...Are we excited or are we excited?

Where is our Zeeshoo aka Golap-Jol? Did you guys say something to him?
There will be no Afghan-Banglacountry match without our Zeeshoo opening a thread! Because otherwise it's all on akkel miah, and we lose every time Akkeilla opens the thread!

If either Tamim, Shakib, Mushfiq or Mulla fires all together or 2 out of these 4 fires in each match, we will win. Other than that, can't see the rest of them pulling this off. Even fizz lost quite a lot of his venom.

I predict BD will lose the series, not because of Rashid and Mujeeb but rather our bowlers will get smacked all over the park by Afg batsmen.

I predict the opposite - we might Banglawash the Afghans...

Default Starting 11

Considering the 31-men preliminary squad, how about this as a starting 11 against AFG:

1 Tamim Iqbal
2 Liton Das
3 Mushfiqur Rahim
4 Shakib Al Hasan
5 Mahmudullah
6 Sabbir Rahman
7 Ariful Haque
8 Naeem Hasan
9 Rubel Hossain
10 Abu Jayed Chy
11 Mustafizur Rahman

Extra: Soumya Sarkar, Mosaddek Hossain, Nazmul Islam, Yeasin Arafat

I was actually expecting to see Tushar. This guy has been performing consistently over the last few years. Very unfortunate for him

Yes, Tushar was consistent. Also Naeem. I can exclude at least 10 of the above right away. Too many passengers.

T20 brings them closer. I would have been very confident of a 3-0 scoreline on ODIs. Still no reason to win this series convincingly.
