Default David Beckham announces retirement

BREAKING: David Beckham has announced his retirement!

I am honestly lost for words. I have always admired his professionalism, his love and his dedication towards football. He may not have been the best footballer but he is among the best athlete to ever grace this planet.

Thank you for donning the white Madrid shirt and a special thank you for catapulting us towards our 30th Liga title in the second half of the season.

You may have been the subject of gossips, speculations, rumors, etc. during your career by the media and the paparazzi, but the way you handled them during your entire career is a benchmark for every athlete in the spotlight.

It was a pleasure watching you play, no matter which jersey you wore! I could connect with you through your hunger, love and passion for the game every time you took the pitch.

Thank you for entertaining us. Thank you for the sweet, sweet memories. And of course, thank you for inspiring a generation of kids with those FK's!

Farewell, "Sir" David Beckham. A true gentleman!

He will probably own the new MLS expansion team in Miami. Good deal, because soccer in the USA is on the rise. MLS is the fastest growing sports league in the USA and Canada. Soccer is the most popular sport, close after American football, for people below 30 years old in the USA now. But one problem is that not all soccer fans in the US love the MLS, Mexican and European leagues are also popular over there.
