if Stokes wins this for ENG I have a feeling he'll also win MoT, unless they do the right thing and award it to Shak

Stokes is a big game player, so I guess it's possible. If he can win the Cup for England from current position, I won't mind if he gets the MoT.

No offence to New Zealand but England needs the WC more. Cricket needs a big lift. England wins, whole UK benefits really that’s 70million. As a South Asian Bangladeshi origin, it will benefit us South Asians too, because more will be done to develop cricket in more areas. The fact being desis are cricket craze, theres more South Asians people from subcontinent in UK around 6million than NZ whole population.

^This js like saying Greece not Somalia or Ethiopia should win Marathon gold. Sports is all about strength, skill, quality regardless of outside impact. Argentina/Aus/Germany winning field hockey does not help either.

For any other world cup I would agree, he would've done enough to win MoT. But Shak's performance has been so historically dominant he should win like Tendulkar did in 2003. Stokes will end up with 150+ runs and 4 wickets short of Shak despite playing 3 more matches - 11 to Shakib's 8. Stokes performed poorly in half the matches while Shak's worst performance was 41 runs vs Aus. If Shak had half the support Stokes got Ban would've been playing in the finals.
