Default Sunil Narine

he's going the way of mendis, still good t20 bowlers, ok one-day bowlers and not so great test match bowlers. just looked at his ODI record over the last 12 months and he's averaging 29, career average has gone from below 20, up to 24 pretty fast. i do think narine will survive much better over time though than mendis will.

thoughts?

As i have told it before,i dont think he will be any different than mendis... Yes, he can be very good t20 bowler.. But in odi or test? Not a chance..

he gets more turn than mendis and better accuracy, so although i don't think he'll be as successful as he was early in his career i do think he has a better chance of being a decent bowler over a long career than mendis does. mendis is almost a slow medium pace bowler, gets barely any turn, not that accurate these days.

Mendis has a brilliant ODI, T20 record. He has a tendency of picking up a lot of wickets together. But when he goes dry, he has hardly any luck.

If i were to pick from one of these two for my Fantasy XI, i would pick Narine simply because there is a lot more in his bowling than Mendis. He can turn the ball quite a bit-both ways. Narine is also more aggressive and attacking, keeping the batsman guessing. Mendis is all accuracy and subtle variations. Much of his wickets come from lack of concentration, or batsman making mistakes rather than getting beaten by skill.
