BD bid for Aus vs Pak series in BD

Have you seen BBC sports? I was fearing this. Bangladesh has bid for the Pakistan vs Australia test series to be held in Bangladesh given that Australia does not agree to go to Pakistan in October.

My fear is this that it will hamper with our domestic calender. At the moment, 6 Premier Division clubs are supposed to play 3-day domestic matches from October 1 to 30.

If this goes on, then we will need 3 stadiums - Dhaka Bangabandhu stadium, Chittagong MA Aziz stadium and one extra stadium which never held any test match before. We will need these stadiums to prepare for the test series.

Then the 6 premier division clubs will have to play in BKSP, in Fatullah of Narayanganj, in Dhanmondi club ground and in any other low-rated ground.

This will be a total disaster - the clubs might not want to play the 3-day games at all.

I am sure it will probably be Sharjah, if not Morocco. BD wont get it.

BCB will get a lot of money out of it, I am more interested in the money from media coverage as gate money is practically coming from our people.

As for the league, the league is more important then having two foriegn sides use up all our fields. And we all know that w don't have but 2/3.

I am surprised, seems like Pakistan chose BD for the test serise.

Is bangladesh any safer from those Al Quaida than Pakistan? All we need is one of those same suiside bombers go to BD and do it, there goes all our home games.

I dont like this.
