Default Bangladesh may play tri-series in April

Bangladesh will take part in the proposed triangular series along with India and Sri Lanka scheduled to be held in April.
India will probably host the tournament after their crucial home series against Pakistan.
The three cricket boards are reported to be trying to hold the tri-series and a final discussion between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Sri Lankan cricket board will be made if India can accommodate 15 days after their busy schedule in the early part of the year.
‘If everything goes on smoothly Bangladesh will be glad to send a team for the triangular series,’ said an adviser of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
‘It will be a good practice for the Bangladesh team before their England tour where they will play another triangular series against the powerhouses Australia and England.
‘As far as I know India and Sri Lanka have reached a special understanding to arrange this kind of tournament. Later the two teams will also play a triangular series in Sri Lanka involving West Indies,’ added the adviser.
‘Initially we did not find any free third team for the proposed tournament and the idea was almost rejected. Now it seems that Sri Lanka are free to play the tournament, so it’s a different scenario again,’ said Asif Khan, the vice chairman of cricket operation of the BCB.
Earlier, India cancelled the Bangladesh tour scheduled for April. Time limitation has been the main reason for cancelling the tour that would have been the first tour of Bangladesh team to India.
However, India are more interested to play cricket on their own soil which will save the time and energy of their players.
The Sri Lanka cricket team called off their New Zealand tour following the tsunami devastation in the island nation and they have no international fixture in the next six months so they also have the opportunity to participate in the tournament.
After playing three consecutive home series against New Zealand, India and Zimbabwe the Bangladesh team will enjoy a long vacation.
The triangular series will be a golden opportunity for the Tigers to play in an overseas tournament as they have a scanty tour schedule for 2005.

Interested. But Indian tour got cancelled before because Pakistan is comming. I think everybody is just skeptical about a tour of any kind in April because of tight schedule.
