Default Official Cyclones of Chittagong supporters thread

Cyclones of Chittagong should be the favourites. A team equipped with Tamim, Rubel,Dickens, Aftab, Enamul and Saqlain Sajib is very formidable.

I accept that I live in chittagong and they have to be favourites. However I like the players of the team and know they will have to win being such a strong way.

I am completely sure they will qualify easily to the semi finals as well as win the finals.

Go Cyclones

I hate to admit it, but our Batting department lacks spice and bowling department lacks discipline. Lets see how well we cope against dhaka at first.

Will be watching for sure.... could be exiting. But Tamim might fail in crucial matches and then the team is finished like the finals of PCL

Not having another Special Olympian Hudmah like Nazimuddin may prove to be a blessing in disguise for the Domachha crowd.

I was born at the center of Chittagong, Kazir Dewri, and grew up in the city as a teenager. So I am a fan of any team that associates itself with Chittagong.
Tamim is going to win it for single-handedly. We gave his ancestors "green card" when they moved in from Northern India after 1947 partition. However he is a pure "Chatgaiya phua."
Go Tamim go, send all the balls to gallery with 6-ers!!! And make sure you eat enough hot beef curry before the match..

Is this an appropriate name for a cricket team? I mean "cyclones" are not pleasant and bangladesh as a nation (Chittagong included) has a history of being ravaged by natural disasters.

I think this is a poor choice of name....

^^^ That shows how devastating cyclones really are. Teams unprepared will be ravaged by the Cyclones. All is needed is preparation to at least reduce the effect. Thats what our country needs. Anyway, it is impossible to stop Cyclones when it comes to us

By that argument, "The Matara Hurricane" is not a good title either, rather an euphemism.

It doesn't work like that. Sports teams have a long history of being associated with destructive forces of nature. Don't we call our team "The Tigers"? If niceties were what we wanted, we would have called them "The Kitties".

Cyclones will rip you apart and spread your molecules all across the world. Mwahahahahah.......

Ditto..I thought the exact thing when I heard the name,, I still cant forget 21st April for which 100,000 folks died and I saw some of those bodies in Chittagong shores..Why couldnt they have picked some other name that makes sense for Chittagong like the Chittagong Saints or Chittagong Sharks or Chittagong Heat like names.. But really a poor choice of name for Chittagong
