World Future League (WFL) aims to establish itself as the only competitive International Junior Cricket League in the World and is the first Under-17 country based League providing a platform for talented cricketers to compete at the International level. With the likes of Abdul Razzaq, Hashan Tillakaratne, Russel Arnold, Habibul Bashar, Nantie Hayward, Heath Streak, Dirk Viljoen and many more International Cricket Stars supporting the League as Country Ambassadors, it is definitely going to be a game changer as far as Junior Cricket is concerned - much like what the IPL did for International Cricket.
I wonder if they have any relation with ICL!

It's confirmed, it's born out of ICL!

http://wflt20.com/Videos/Zee%20Business.wmv

I thought Bashar regretted his involvement with ICL! I guess he returned to them after figuring out he won't get much out BCB.

Bashar starts new innings

Former national cricket captain Habibul Bashar is all set to start his new journey as an official as he will supervise a BKSP Under-17 team in an invitational tournament in India.

The team leaves Dhaka today to play the WFL Afro-Asian T20 tournament in Hyderabad where teams from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Zimbabwe apart from the hosts will also take part.

"Actually the organisers have selected some former players as 'icon leaders' to supervise the team in the tournament. Yes, it's a new journey for me," said Bashar, who recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

Good to see Bashar is not in conflict with BCB again.

Nonetheless, good initiative.
I'd support anything that involves youngsters getting to play each other.

What's the squad? I may know some of them.

Just to clarify they are being groomed to play International cricket not ICL, right? Since they are training in BKSP I am assuming that BCB is supporting this.

but why players are chosen from BKSP? some of our U-19 players who played in the WC would've qualified for the team. also, this way they could've been groomed for the next U-19 team.

Why next series? Can we fly him in for the 3rd ODI? He is a must for the World T20.
