Rain, rain, go away...
Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day.
Rain, rain, go to Spain,
Never show your face again.
Rain, rain, pour down,
But not a drop on Bulawayo town.
Rain on the green grass,
and rain on the beam,
And rain on the housetop,
but not on our BD team.
:P

Bidyut and Hannan scored because at that time, there were way too many bad balls bowled by the Zimbabweans Ervine and Mahwire.
And when the same Ervine fellow started to bowl closer to the off stump, then the balls started to bounce, which eventually resulted in all those wickets.
By the way, my observation on Bidyut is that he hasn't improved anything over the years, he still chases balls, still goes out fishing outside the off stump. His batting kinda reminds me of how our Aminul/Akram pair used to bat before Bangladesh got Test status (not mentioning others' examples because others used to get out quickly; so I don't remember much of how the others used to bat at those times).
It also goes to show how shot-selective our current players have become (current players being Hannan, Ashraful, Rajin), compared to what they had been 3/4 years ago.

It wasn't all that bad under such adverse conditions.
We'll see how chubby and his team bats tomorrow when we grind them down.
I'll bet it ain't gonna be preety for them either!

don\'t worry
I thinks its still ok. we don't need to worry. even if the rain goes away, we are ok. see, batting collaspe (what i call wicket diahorea) is nothing new for us. we can survive. and rana is there. according to whatmore, rana does what he is told to do. i'm sure whatmore will tell him to stay in the wicket.

Declare
Day 4 is another wash out. Bashar should declare now on the eve of Day 5 (if there is one). The reasons:
1. They should spare us (as well as themselves) from further embesrrassment.
2. It is probably safe to do so (with our 'talented' batting line up miracle can still happen).
3. Alamgir Kabir can have some much needed bowling exposure. Rafique can try improving his statistics quickly befor he is forced to retire (not because of his performence, but because of his allaged age). Remember Atahar Ali and Nannu was dropped from the team not because of they were performing badly, but because of they wee getting "old" in their early 30s. So even Rafiq is at his peak, there is no certaintly taht he will continue to play as he is getting 'old' and as we have many young 'talents' in the pipe line.
4. At least there will be some excitement in the match.
5. The non-traditional bowlers (like Ashraful, Rajin ect) can have some bowling practice. I feel sorry for Alok, he is not in the team and often overlooked as a bowler. He was originally a bowler who could bat a bit.
