Default Help regarding watching tour in the Sundarbans

A colleague of my wife is an avid bird watcher. She wants to take a trip to the Sundarbans in search of the Masked Finfoot. She tried to arrange a trip through a tour operator in Delhi, but it just wasn't working.

So… do you know of anyone she could connect with in Bangladesh who could give her some guidance? Either a tour operator, someone who works with birds/nature conservancy, or just another bird watcher who could offer advice?

We went on a 3 day package tour to the Sunderbans with Bengal Tours (http://www.bengaltours.com/flash/sundarban.html) last December. There are 2 other another similar ones, but cant recall their names.

Your friend can get in touch with them to see if they can arrange something of this kind (there were involved with a natgeo team as well, and several other Japanese, Dutch documentary expedition teams). Mind you, the tourist season should be off by now, basically they dont operate any of these tours in summer cuz of the heat.

And then Burger bhai will lead his apamoni by the hand to the tip of the tallest God-made piece of vegetation in the forest; and with a wave of his unoccupied hand he will utter, "Tumi dekho", upon which a thousand Finfeet will flutter their wings (if they have any) in balletic grace, submerging the entire forest in a sea of blue feathers (if they are indeed blue).
