There is a show going on ATN Bangla with Akram Khan and Isteaque Ahmed and they just showed the Mirpur ground live on their LCD TV. It's drizzling very lightly at Mirpur and the stadium was totally empty, I did not see any ground staffs, umpires or players there. As far as Gulshan's (where I live) concern it is not raining at all, infact there's also no signs of rain, the sky is quite clear, though the sun is yet to shine. Gulshan to Mipur is just a 30-45 minutes drive, so I doubt the video ATN showed was live or not, cause for the last few days the weather has been exactly same all over Dhaka. So, if the weather is like Gulshan in Mirpur then I think we may see some play late in the afternoon.

TE: Please tell your mom & sis to go to the MIrpur stadium and tell them to start the match. I think they might be taking early lunch.

At Mirpur: still overcast but there is enough light. Now the question is how fast it can drain the morning shower and will there be another light rain or not.

My sister lives few hundred yards from Mirpur Stadium. His college going son is not too optimistic about the game for today.

Nasir hossain's England and SA's Hanse Cronje once gave life to a dead test ruined by rains for the first two days by forfeiting their 1st innings, Nasir hossain proposed it and was the lucky one to win the test! I believe NZ won't dare accept such proposal at this moment seeing how they lost the 1st innings of the 1st test to BD even after BD'S moderate 1st innings! If they could, this match would have come back to life!!

The Match Itself wasn't fixed ... Cronje needed a result real badly cause you don't wanna get into the Bad Graces of the Bookie. He didn't deliberately lose the match on purpose. England won by 3 wickets
In one of our other rain Effected Matches Dravid Set us a Target of 250 in 43 overs or something. Javed Decides to play positive and bashar starts effing up and brings in Rajin and a dull Draw is played! When Mashrafe Smahed a 70 in the 1st innings and you still have Aftab and Ash
Next test Ash smashes 50 off 22
