$9,000 a month will not attract the very highest calibre coach. Most HEAD coaches (usually former batting coaches) work on $25-30,000 a month so it isn't unreasonable for support coaches to be on a 1/2 to 2/3rds of that.
If it is always about money the the Tigers will always find someone willing to take what they offer just to fill the vacancy, but will not be making a difference.
It would surely be better to pay top dollar and get the best pace & accuracy fast bowling coach available..... it's not enough to be 'competitive' in salary as Australia, SA, England, NZ and WI might all be more desirable places to live..
