Default India in Bangladesh: Arrival 7 June 2015

Indian Board to Meet on Emergency Meeting to Decde on Bagladesh Tour

http://bdnews24a.com/cricket/2015/04...angladesh-tour

"................ Some ministers of Modi government are connected to BCCI and none of them belong to the Srinivasan camp. His opponents are trying to rope in these ministers and get him out of BCCI.

Kamal has made it clear in a Dhaka press conference that his fight is against Srinivasan and not against the Indian board.

After all, India played a major role in getting Bangladesh its Test playing status, so it would be indeed ironic if it were to cancel its June 2015 tour of Bangladesh, when two Tests and three ODI matches are likely to be played.

Kamal has described Srinivasan as "mentally deranged" and upset pro-Srinivasan supporters want to cancel the Bangladesh trip to seek revenge.

But anti-Srinivasan supporters in BCCI say that India can ill afford to cancel its tour of Bangladesh when Pakistan have finalised its summer tour of Bangladesh.

Foreign policy analysts here say this will become a huge diplomatic issue if that happens.

They say the Modi government will be very upset with the BCCI if they cancelled their tour at a time when Modi himself is planning to visit Dhaka this summer after the parliament clears the land boundary agreement and his government inches closer to a possible deal on Teesta water sharing.

Srinivasan's opponents in BCCI say it is time the board got rid of a man, barred by India's Supreme Court from contesting BCCI polls again, from representing India in ICC.

"He is a national disaster," said one Bengal cricket official who has represented the state board in BCCI for years.

But BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya has refused any comment, saying he first needs to discuss the whole situation and all issues involved with his board members...."

I want India to tour. I want them at their full strength. Unless they promise to cancel this tour in order for a wider tour in the future, I want this 3/5 ODIs go ahead.
We win one out of five we have no gain. We win two, we gain points. We will three WI is in trouble for top 8. Champions Trophy gives us more meaningful games with $$$.

You don't like it, go follow Chess. No one will stop you.

Yes we seperate them like "Haddi" in Kabab

@TE : me too, I want India to come and they actually have no choice. This will create huge diplomatic disadvantage for Inda of they retaliate on something personal between two individuals in a different body of cricket...none of them are a party to BCB or BCCI..

So India will have to swallow it ..

That was never happening in the first place as well. So be at ease. Don't worry, we will continue to serve good memories of your demi-god's achievements at their milestones. BD never toured indo, and we don't need it. It's india who's getting worked up so much. stop us if you can from visiting indo for next world t20.

As i feared, messing with a Maifia boss like Srini is never a good idea. The guy is as nasty as it gets. After the way BCCI harrassed SA board and WI board we should have been more careful. I hope we can patch things up with BCCI.

This thread is getting more and more strange given
1) We have got only a single news resource covering it and quoting anonymous BCCI official.
2) All Indian news media is quoting this news report, they don't have the information that this site does.
#1,2 makes it more of a conspiracy theory than a news
3) Not even other Bangladesh media were aware of this.
4) Some assertions made in this news is not true. Example - AL Govt share good relationship with Indian Govt. Indian current govt does not share good relationship with AL. Moreover, the relationship is never strong enough to intervene in BCCI. Nepal and Afghan cricket board is waiting for BCCI for months to get any help. BCCI doesn't want to help them even though Indian Govt is willing to build cricket stadiums in Nepal and Afghanistan.
5) Kamal is now gone which means BCCI should be happy now. If Harun goes from SA board, they are happy too. So, BCCI wants calm and quiet heads in BCB and they get one here. They will be least interested to take on new management and destabilize them.

I hope and pray that this series goes ahead. Very exciting time for BD cricket if this happens. India is a huge powerful team and it is our chance of growth and gain as long as we maintain tight play.

One may NOT like another country's cricket team, that's very natural, but it is never wise to mock any country's name, and in the process insulting a whole nation. This doesn't make friends, rather make us fans look ugly collectively. It is very simple, I wouldn't any other country's people to mock BD, so what goes around, comes around. It will only make more irritated posters from those countries. Then continuous verbal attacks continue and the forum gets filled with bad energy. And it is against BC forum policy anyway.

Absolutely right Say things about/for/against the Team, Never Against the Nation as a whole ...

Indeed

While Mr. Kamal's resignation from ICC was a smart move, though one can/should NOT question about umpiring when he was the ICC precedent. He failed to control his emotions and in the process he put BCB in jeopardy!

That will be the true measurement of out ODI ability. Actually, I think I'll put doing well in Australia against Australia as #1. Or, doing well in SA, against SA.
